My poll question would be if Simmons fixes his willingness to shoot (not his shooting itself, but at least being aggressive to drive etc), and assuming you can't get a worthwhile package for Buddy, and assuming Fox develops the way you think he is going to develop, would you trade Fox for Simmons straight up?

that’s a big if for me and the fact that he’s a “socialite”, he wouldn’t be happy in Sac. Then add on that insane contract where hes getting paid almost Curry money, that’s gonna be a no for me

What do you guys think the Pels have to offer?

The simple deal would be Hart S&T and Sato for Buddy. Sato is a legit good player that can swing defensively at several positions, adds another playmaker and on an expiring. And Hart would slide right in at starting SF.

I like Satoransky but Wright is a better version of him so I'm not sure if it makes sense after the Wright trade. Hart would be one of the better fits of the guys remaining but I think we lose talent on this trade by a decent margin. It's nice to get Buddy's contract off the books but would they be able to do anything with the money anyway? Tough to say.

Yeah I hope we're trying to find a way to ink Lauri and Hart to a S&T somehow. I wonder if the Bulls would actually match a full MLE offer for him at this point with their absolutely full cap sheet. Maybe they just take a pile of 2nds and some cheap depth to fill out the roster for him?

What the Pelicans really have to offer is picks. They have all of their own first rounders (including LAL 2023 swap, MIL 2024 swap, MIL 2026 swap), and they have LAL 2022, LAL 2024 (with option to defer instead to LAL 2025), MIL 2025, MIL 2027, all of those outright.

If they want Buddy, they're going to have to burn some of those picks, and I don't really have the LAL 2022 on my list of picks that count.

Hmm. So Pelicans would send some of that draft capital to the Bulls, who desperately need it.

If you could figure out the money:

Kings get: Lauri/Hart
Pels get: Buddy
Bulls get: 1st round from NO/cheap depth 2nds from us

Seems fair value wise considering the RFA status of Lauri and Hart.

I'd take this even if Lauri isn't a defender. He's an upgrade from Bagley for sure. Hart helps a lot with rebounding as well.

I'd be on board with this too. Not sure if they'd bite since teams are reluctant to give up first round picks these days but Buddy should easily be worth a non lottery first rounder at minimum.

wasnt satoransky traded FROM the bulls in the lonzo trade? it would be hilarious if he was just traded back. dont even know if thats legal

Well that hasn't become official yet, so they could technically just rope the Kings into that deal where Sato never actually changed hands.
