Shocked when I saw Neil Peart has passed. Didn't realize he was sick though I guess the "spend more time with family" retirement was a hint I wasn't looking for.
I had my Rush years in high school which I grew out of but he was probably one of the best drummers in rock history and it was a pleasure to see him live several times in my youth.
Rush is still one of if not my favorite band. Reading Neil Peart has died makes me very sad. Truly a rock god. Thank you for the countless hours of music. RIP
Peart was possibly the greatest there ever was. Wasn't exactly a household name, but those who did know him know why he's being mourned on every corner of the internet today. Rest in peace, Neil.
