Do you guys think GP will offer T-Mac to other teams? Maybe some teams have a better package to offer than the knicks?

Also, can we still trade Noch? He absolutely sucked against the warriors and his contract is still, really bad.

1) Yes, of course he will take offers. But it seems like Chicago is out of it so it's unlikely that a better package (than the Knicks') would be available. It's either that or keeping McGrady.

2) Well, one step at a time, I guess. Can't be much of market out there for Nocioni so I expect that Petrie will keep him and hope he fits into our new lineup.

I actually dont want Wall...well I mean I would be stoked to have Wall but I would rather have Cousins and Evan Turner IMO.

Tyreke/Beno/2nd rounder
Turner/Cisco
Casspi/Greene
Landry/JT
Cousins/Hawes

2010-2011 would be a blast

We aren't getting Jersey's first round pick. That asset is nigh untouchable. You might even be able to remove the "nigh".

BUt yes, I would think obviously Geoff will talk and had already been talkng to teams about McGrady. Just not many hours left to get something wrapped up, but since Houston has been offering him around for months, the offers out there are probably all pretty longstanding and Geoff may just have to pick the one he likes best.

but maybe we can get Golden States or Utahs(NY's) or Pacers. I just think this years 1st round crop and especially the top 10 are very strong. give me any 2 (except Davis) and I'm a very happy Kings fan.

Heres a question. Isnt T-macs contract expired at the end of the year? Why not just keep him and let it expire. What would our cap space be for signing a big free agent in the off season? Has this been discussed somewhere?

I honestly don't even think Petrie should take a chance on the big names in this coming FA market. So many questions about the cap and the chance at over paying for a Boozer or Lee type, IMO the best thing would be to use the Tmac contract to get a couple more useable pieces or even dump a couple crap contracts.

The Kings have a shot to move T-Mac for some major pieces if they are willing to give up cap this summer (which would be a great move since players will make 65% of what they make now in 2011.)

For example, TMac for Curry and Jefferies (not as players - just rolling over the cap until the 2011 reset) ... but you've got to give us Gallinari New York. The Knicks would probably have to do that. They could sign both LeBron and Bosh (something no other team can do - as the Cavs are now out of that combo derby.)

Don't rule out a deal where they take a lot of Bulls garbage to get something really good in return.

Also, Amare is back in play. The risk of him walking is not longer too great for Sac, because Tmac is an also expiring deal. I doubt they do it just for TMac ... and they won't throw in Drajic for salary because they like him. Best shot I see - TMac and Thompson for Amare, Barbosa, and a pick. Hate that Barbosa is in there, but you really can't make a trade they would do without him. I would still do that

Evans, (either Garcia or Green - other is hopefully Wall or Turner), Amare, and Landry. That works.

Or they could let TMac expire and overpay somebody like David Lee Rudy Gay - who will become super over paid under the new CBA

We'll see.

Wow, Kings came out of nowhere and are now the center of this trade deadline. Who knew we could acquire T-Mac and Landry and a lot more.

I trust GP will do the best he could with the T-Mac deal. I just hope T-Mac's agent throwing his weight around would not affect GP's decision. As he really wants to send T-Mac to New York.

Also, this McGrady trade is looking like it could be a mega-deal:

If the trade expands to three teams, one official involved in the talks predicted as many as 15 players could be moved. The official described the talks as “fluid and complicated.” Among the variations being proposed, Knicks guard Larry Hughes(notes) would likely be sent to Sacramento. Forward Al Harrington(notes) also could be moved. Forward Jared Jeffries(notes), whose contract the Knicks are trying to clear from their salary cap, could go to Houston.
