It is somewhat worrisome that Ellis and Carter are being underused (IMO). With so little use, Perry and Christie will view them as disposable assests and dangle them in the trade market.

At the trade deadline, perhaps other teams will demand them to sweeten a deal for DDR, Schröder, and/or Lavine. Maybe even in a Sabonis trade as some here have suggested.

Such a turn would weaken the defense depending on the return. But in reality, because of lack of play, the effect would be minimal. Losing them would appear to be a short-sighted development, but short-sighted is what brought the roster to this point.
 
1. This was one of the most fun games to watch. I love Russ. I was skeptical given our logjam but I am all in now. I hope we keep him around.

2. It was really nice to see defensive intensity in the second half. Russ and Dennis were getting after it. Same with Keon and even Max. That block on Post was awesome.

3. I hope we find a way to move some pieces and balance the roster. I think if you can pair Russ with some of the younger guys that play defense that this could be a fun team to watch.

Nice to see Clifford and Max play some fairly big minutes. I love when they play on the floor at the same time. Maybe next year if vets are traded we'll see Max put in at the high post where he can exploit his excellent passing skills. One can only hope, anyway.
