Sabonis could very well end up being the most difficult player to move in trade

Nah, he's hurt. Supposedly hamstring strains are supposed to be evaluated after like a week or 2 and then you're supposed to strengthen it up. He came back after what? 4 days? Immediately playing 35 MPG? And as many have pointed out, he can't jump, at all. It's very noticeable

I just can’t accept that Bobby Jackson and Doug Christie were standing on the sidelines thinking no defenders was the way to go when we had the lead down the stretch.

Christie is already digging himself a hole, if he has any real interest as an assistant coach in the NBA after this little gig inevitably crashes and burns

I mean, even though we’re all calling him terrible he still ended the night with a 12/18 double-double

I hope so but he played like crap when he came back from injury last season. It kinda looks to me that the injury zapped his vertical.

There's playing like crap or being a step slow but he's basically shooting flatfooted one handers in the paint. Being how small he is relative to his counterparts he's going to have a rough go if he's relying on that.

Well we are quickly finding all the ways to lose games. Second half collapse, supernova performance and now lose the game after being up the entire game.

Yeah, it's not great considering the context we've had these first 4 games. 1-3 with a 1 point win on an offensive rebound. Losses to LA with no Bron/Luka and blow another lead to OKC sans Chet/J-Dub

This team just isn't serious. It's going to keep getting worse too, especially if Christie continues to learn all the wrong lessons about running his rotations.

I think close game and ending up losing the game is going to be the theme this season. We can make difficult shots to keep the game close, but the imbalance of the roster will make us lose the game.

That blow it up trade proposal someone posted other day involving Sabonis/monk fir duren, holland and picks is looking good. Then dump DD snd Lavine for anything and roll the young guys out there
At least get Sabonis healthy before trade proposals come in. He’s way better than what he’s given the last two games and has proven consistency to get the benefit of doubt at this point, over the last 3 seasons here.

Agree, love him, but he’s also their most valuable asset if they were looking to blow it up….which they need to do.

Russ is the true tank commander out there. There's hustle stuff that's still really good, but we've essentially made him the focal point of the offense and these are the predictable results
The fact that the man can still move like he can at his age in the league is amazing but yeah the elite downhill burst that made him a superstar is gone now but he still hasn’t seemed to fully have adjusted to that fact.

Eh, i wouldn’t put that on Westbrook. Lavine is a grown damn man and needs to assert himself like one. Same for Keegan Murray when he gets back

Westbrook has always been someone that will gobble up an offense down the stretch. This is why Denver started to pull away from him late in games last season. He did valuable things but again, to me this is all about upside. What's the point here?

Or you simply give him the year to really make sure that leg is feeling healthy before pairing him with a fresh juicy lotto pick next year (the Embiid experience but hopefully without his legs turning to spaghetti)

This deadline will be interesting. Domas really isn't the type that you're going to have half the league beating your door down with great packages if they did decide to deal him unfortunately. However the Kings better not waste an entire year floating around purgatory level trying to wait for immense value should it come to that. These young guys need to be out there getting time and be allowed to make mistakes if this heads downhill. That's how they'll learn. That's how the Kings won't be starting from total ground zero without even an educated guess as to how to proceed in the aftermath.

I would rather shut Sabonis down than trade him unless he wants out.

One foot was already out the door. Whatever Perry sold him on will only go so far. The truth is it's going to be extremely difficult at this point to build around Domas. Keegan will now be getting paid more, who knows about Keon. They don't have a ton of assets to work with because they've played the middle of the road for so long. Not shining up youth and paying out money for vets to patch together a team around Fox. Seen it before, there's a teeny tiny window on that. Petrie was pretty good wheeling and dealing but he got lucky too. Better hope someone at a high talent level goes Artest in the stands lol.
