It's a big part of why some will never fully commit to building towards something. Never willing to take a step back, with then a better chance at taking a few steps forward
100%. It’s not defeat, it’s literally restarting but LEARNING from your mistakes and this time stick with what you say. If you want a defensive team, don’t sign old heads. Build the young guys and teach them that they won’t get minutes unless there is effort on that side of the ball

Westbrook has always been someone that will gobble up an offense down the stretch. This is why Denver started to pull away from him late in games last season. He did valuable things but again, to me this is all about upside. What's the point here?
I don't see the issue with winning or wanting to win right now. Nique and Keegan will get back and need to experience that and I think it's just as great for development to see what competing looks like, misshapen roster or otherwise. All this "blow it up" talk is understandable but the entire team doesn't need to be 19 years old to be promising or have a chance at doing something special one day either. That doesn't always equate to anything of worth. I'm sure by the deadline they'll move a couple pieces and especially in the summer time. I have no issue rooting for all of the guys that are here in the meantime

Memphis can use Sabonis and they have 2 FIRST rounders in the upcoming 26’ draft class…

That’s a quick reset/rebuild if you ask me. 3 first rounders this upcoming year if you include ours with possible future 1st round draft capital (pretty sure we can get a package with 3 first rounders for Sabonis since they got a haul for Bane)
Hmm... the way Sabonis is playing now, we would have to attach a pick to get them to take on that huge contract. Even at his best, it is a tough contract to move.

Devin Carter played well tonight, given the opportunity: in 8 minutes, he had 4 points without a miss, a rebound, an assist, two steals, no fouls. He paired well with Ellis. I wanted to see those two guys try to slow down OKC in the second half, but nothing doing.

Also, the rotations made a lot more sense tonight, even if Westbrook was the wrong guy on the court at the end of the game--it should have been Ellis or Monk, who went out with 6:13 remaining, after making a steal with an assist on the fast break. Everyone here is saying "Blow it up!" when Sacramento took the defending champions to the limit on their own floor.

What rotation? It was basically play the starters until they’re worn out…lose the game by chucking tired-leg 3s in the fourth.

The Thunder comeback at the end was pretty much the most predictable thing ever.

Game was at least fairly entertaining and didn't consist of 60 free throws. Nice to see Carter get some run. We need more of that.

Domas is tanking his own value unfortunately. I don't know what's with his inability to score this season.

Leg injury and he can’t push off. You need your legs

With about 1.5 minutes left the rebound by Caruso off of the free throw miss was killer. LaVine watched the ball; Caruso went after it. Then the Dort strip of Sabonis finished it off.

Part of it is probably injury. Part is an offense design no longer revolving around him. He's now one of many spokes, not the hub of the wheel.

I know the team is likely mid even when healthy but new coaching staff and all these new faces with players in and out - I'm still going to give them a lot more time to get some sort of rhythm and chemistry going. We aren't even in November yet. The Clippers are dealing with similar roster turnover and got smashed tonight

Clippers are a perennial playoff team with real talent lol

The Knicks are going through this now with KAT btw. Apparently he’s playing hurt and looking even worse than Sabonis over there with Mike Brown and the gang

Maybe because the injury isn't going to get any worse while he plays and there's nobody close to him in ability on this team who can replace him.
Sabonis is likely the one that pushed to come back and insisted that he could play. I’m not saying the Kings aren’t accountable for this but if he was cleared to play, just give him some time guys. Jesus Christ we aren’t even 5 games in

I know it's against eye test and early but Kings is ranked 10th on defensive rating and only 25th on offensive rating.
I don’t know…a higher rank defense does pass my eye test. The one thing I can give Christie is he actually did get most of the players bought into defensive effort. I fully expect that to disappear if things keep turning south, but the effort is absolutely there.
