    The Kings and Freeagency:

I'd like to see us target okafor via trade with te bulk of NOH incentive coming via our cap space. Greene/TPE for Okafor as an example. C- Okafor, Thompson, Whiteside PF - Cousins, Hickson SF - Salmons, Trout, Honeycutt SG - Thornton, Garcia PG - Evans, Jimmer, IT22 Maybe target...

Anyone know who Grant was talking about tonight?

The Thing I like best about Kirilenko isn't so much his shot-blocking or steals, rather his ability to PASS. He's an EXTREMELY underrated passer. You add Kirilenko to the roster and you got yourselves two fine defensive forwards who also know how to move the ball to the open man in AK47 and the...

Let's Say We Strike Out On Centers

And that market has been fairly manipulated to favor the players in the form of amnesty and exceptions and what have you.

    The Kings and Freeagency:

I'd like to see the Kings go for Greg Oden or DeAndre Jordan in Free Agency. I think the likes of Nene, Gasol and Chandler are slim to none in the sense that I don't see them leaving their current clubs or considering the Kings. I know Oden is high risk, but he's also extremely high...

    The Lockout has arrived.

Agreed, anyone siding with the players truly doesn't understand economics nor markets. Why do 7 and 8 figured salary basketball players need a union anyways? The owners assume all the risks of doing business and players reap a fully guaranteed contract with no risk involved. It's like government...

RFA: Marc Gasol or DeAndre Jordan

    Jordan for age and skill-set.

Big Men via Free Agency or Trade

I don't think that is necessarily true. What you're referring to is trading Salmons in a package with any other players. However, any player can be re-dealt individually and independently of anything else. (See Rasheed Wallace dealt from Portland to Atlanta to Detroit in a matter of a few days)...

Anyone upset they could have had Knight?

    I'm happy with Jimmer. Next.

Does Jimmer Freddete have the skills to become the new face of the kings franchise?

Those who TEMPER the expectations for Jimmer are bound to get Jimmer'd sooner or later. It happens to all of us. Bold prediction of the day: Jimmer will be an all-star at least once in his career. There, now I won't get Jimmer'd like the rest of you doubters.

    Worst trade of 2011 Offseason?

Let's try re-evaluating this, as this was a TRADE. At the end of the day, are we better or worse at PG? IMO Jimmer right now is probably as good as Beno talent-wise, and likely better going forward as he gains experience. Are we better or worse at SF? Salmons has his warts, but he's a...

Anyone upset they could have had Knight?

Salmons plays defense, Beno doesn't. Otherwise they're comparable players talent-wise. That's why the trade happened. It's that simple. JR's podcast interview the other day had him coming out and stating he(the Kings) though both Knight and Kenter were overrated. And weren't too impressed. I...

For the Leonard haters - Hollinger and his Draft Rater.

To be accurate, he teaches at BYU-Hawaii.

For the Leonard haters - Hollinger and his Draft Rater.

Leonard HATER HERE. At least on the Kings. I think he's an atrocious fit and we will regret drafting him. Not saying he won't be a solid NBA player, I think he will be, but I think his game is too conflicting with pieces we already have who are better.

    Andre Miller

I'm not getting the sentiment of this off-the-ball vs. on-the-ball chasm where a player is either/or. Ray Allen is a perfect example. He can play ON THE BALL and take his guy off the dribble to the basket or create a defensive breakdown to pass it and create offense for a teammate. He's also...

Kingsfans Predraft Scouting Report: Jimmer Fredette

How do the Maloofs wanting Jimmer automatically mean they are interfering with the GM? Maybe the GM is on board too.

With the 7th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings select .....

Sounds like we're definitely on the same page. I don't dislike Leonard as a prospect, I dislike him, actually HATE him as a prospect fit for the Kings. This draft is all about FIT. The talent is so evenly dispersed that the 'successful' picks are going to be the ones that fit the best with their...

With the 7th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings select .....

Really? Even that seems to be a no-brainer to me. The Kings biggest NEEDS are 3 point shooters. Specifically at the 1 and 3. Yes, defense is needed EVERYWHERE, but schemes within a TEAM defense is more what this team needs to become better defensively. We have plenty of players that are high...

With the 7th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings select .....

This is exactly the reason Geoff won't be picking an international player, at least not with the #7 pick.

Kemba pulls out of Fredette workout

Well, based on past reasons of other athletes, it's that he has nothing to gain and something to lose by competing. Once again, I understand that, but that shouldn't make you NOT compete.

Kemba pulls out of Fredette workout

I get the 'reasoning' behind this. I understand agents control all these things. However, that still shouldn't make this ACCEPTABLE. It's not. It makes sense, but I still don't like the idea of 'throwing a challenge', it's bad karma and contrary to the competitive spirit that athletes SHOULD have.
