Are you people serious with the Jimmer not being a PG thing still? He made like 5 nice passes in his super limited minutes. He played well aside from his shot. Again last thing i'm worried about is Jimmer's shot, it will come. Every elite shooter in nba history has struggled shooting the ball...
Not even close. Allen Iverson would pass to guys when they were open most of the time and not blatantly ignore them. And i'm not an Iverson fan, I think he was incredibly overrated. But he wasn't that selfish. Yeah he shot a lot but that was cause they literally had no one else. But you don't...
jimmer is on my dleague squad and I don't need him at all this year so it's not.
top 5 numbers, spoken like a true loser. you have a lot to learn about winning basketball.
Lol what? Of course I am watching him play, that's why I made the post. Am only going by what i've seen this season, yes of course this is my first time watching the kings. So far this season I have never seen a player be more selfish in my entire life of watching basketball.
He was still...
I'm a celtics fan. I am only on this board because I drafted Jimmer in my keeper fantasy league.
Marcus Thornton is not a star. Hes the most selfish guy in the NBA. Yes hes a sick good shooter and is very good at creating offense for himself. Hes also an underrated defender. That's where it...
I mean the massive mistake was playing Isiah Thomas. Jimmer should have played PG and Isiah should never have played. That's what happened in the first half and Jimmer actually played pretty good D when he guarded guys who were under 6'5 and not someone 7 inches taller than him.
Also worth...
jayfly have you watched both preseason games? if so i can't believe you still think jimmer can't play pg, he literally finds the open man practically every single time and has shown he is clearly a very willing passer.
great post. also will add that jimmer is a GREAT shooter OFF THE DRIBBLE which is vastly important in terms of being able to create ur own shot and is a lot harder than catch and shoot. JJ Redick was not a great shooter off the dribble.
Yup. PG is one of, if not the least important position on the bball court. There is a reason a teams best player has almost never been a PG when they won a title.
Star SG/SF/PF/C's just mean more than a star PG.
Well if you consider Tony Parker a "true pg" even though hes more of a scoring PG than a passing one there are like 20-25 "true pgs" in the NBA right now. Jimmer can/should easily become one. Again his passing is incredibly underrated.
his man to man defense was far better than I expected (ie. not brutal, was below average but nothing lol worthy). he made some dumb decisions like over helping which lead to leaving his man open but this can easily be corrected via coaching.
PG is the most overrated position in all of sports. All you need is someone who can create offense for themselves and others. By being able to create offense for themselves that forces the defenses to double/pay more attention to them and therefore allows your other teammates to get open due to...
Man jayfly could not be more wrong about Jimmer not being a PG.
First off, hes an incredibly underrated passer. You bring up his assist totals (which aren't even that bad) but fail to mention how AWFUL his teammates were at BYU.
But if you actually watch Jimmer play you will see his passing...
