Adele is a bold pick early but I think a pretty good one if I were to take a contemporary selection. (which I wouldn't because I'd pick solely material 5 of you have heard of).

My second round pick goes to...

James Blake. By James Blake. Released 2011.

So not too long ago I moved to London to complete a masters degree. It was great. I shared a flat in an estate, worked for minimum wage on weekends to pay rent, and after much despair, found some good coffee spots where I could take my loose change. I also started to get into a number of things english, James Blake being the perfect example.

Here is his wiki page:

There is only one album which i want to take right now, i wasn't born when it was around ( but then again i haven't been born when most of the albums were released :D)

An amazing band who sold around the world. My dad met them just after this was released and so i have been listening to it for years

The one the only Fleetwood Mac - Rumours - 1977

I tossed and turned and worried about this pick. I have two albums I absolutely could not live without, and I'm deathly afraid that scoundrel kingsnation has somehow hacked my computer and seen my list. What to do?

I finally decided to pick the one that gave me three of my all-time favorite songs. So with my second pick, I'm going on a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair...

Hotel California - The Eagles - 1976

This is The Eagles before Timothy B. Schmidt, who was raised in Sacramento and was part of a local band named New Breed, replaced Randy Meisner. It's an incredible album and with songs like "Life in the Fast Lane," "New Kid in Town," and "Victim of Love," along with the incredible title song, I just cannot risk not having this album to listen to.

Ever since I was a child, I've always had a keen interest in all things Jamaica and it's history. I've enjoyed learning about the country, the people and of course, most of all, it's music! Reggae has been a favorite genre of mine for the last 2 decades. Of course, you can not have a discussion about Reggae music without discussing Bob Marley.

With my second pick and closing the second round, I select:

Bob-marley-Exodus-600x409.jpg

Bob Marley and The Wailers - Exodus

I had to debate a bit on which Marley album to take because I really, really wanted some of his other stuff on my island. But it's a long draft, so we'll see. "Jamming," was the first Reggae song I had ever heard and it introduced me to an amazing genre that's been a favorite since. As I began to explore the rest of Marley's catalog, "Three Little Birds," "Exodus" and "Turn Your Lights Down Low" became instant favorites but the entire album is amazing.

More..

With the first pick of the third round, I select:

220px-Michael_jackson_bad_cd_cover_1987_cdda.jpg

Michael Jackson - Bad

Having Thriller go earlier made the "Which MJ album do I want for my island?" pick easier, but if I had to put them side by side, "Bad" is my favorite MJ album of all time.

"Dirty Diana," "Smooth Criminal" and "Man in the Mirror" are 3 of my top 5 favorite Jackson songs of all time. Those 3 songs alone would make me pick this album for my island. Well, that and I'm an avid MJ fan :)

Throw in the title track, Stevie Wonder and 6 other classic songs and I'm sold.

More..

With my third pick in the draft, I'm going to go with another album that I had to buy a second copy of. It's an album my daughter says still reminds her of her early childhood, as she heard it many, many times over the years.

I had graduated from high school and was in college when this album debuted. I even remember where I was the first time I heard the long version of "Light My Fire." For that reason, the song has always evoked images of cruising down the road in a lime-gold 65 Mustang convertible. Oddly enough, I cannot remember the name or face of the guy who owned the car. :)

Yep, with this pick I'm grabbing the debut album of The Doors.

The Doors - The Doors - 1967

There are so many good songs on that album. "Light My Fire" may have been the most popular at the time, but you learn a lot more about Morrison in "The End."

One of The Doors' founding members, Ray Manzanek, died a couple of weeks ago so this is also an homage to him.

When I got my PM from UK kings fan he said he was heading to bed and wouldn't be back until sometime between 10 a.m. and noon our time on Friday. I should have told him to send his next pick to someone who was going to pick after him, but didn't catch him before he left the board.

I've sent him his PM to let him know he's up but we may have a bit of a wait...

Great pick Mom! It would not have made it back to you! Very wise choice :)

Im going home to England for my next pick... In my opinion the greatest band since the 70's with there best ever album

I am incredibly proud to select...(What's the Story)*Morning Glory?* - Oasis - 1995

so happy its still on the board and quite frankly i dont trust it to be next time i pick!

If this Album consisted of only this song i would still have picked it.... amazing

My turn? With my third pick I select...

Again into eyes by S.C.U.M. Released 2011.

This is another group from London. S.C.U.M. stands for society cutting up men. They are essentially a group of androgynous 'post punk' kids- and they have a pretty good sound. I first heard them when I saw the video for Whitechapel. I grew up on music such as ... and ... so this was definitely a new sensation. Great album.

For my third pick of the draft, i'm going classic(i think i'm the only one who hasn't drafted one yet).

I'm so glad that this album is still available. Featuring a solid lineup of songs, and a group of guys at their absolute peak.

Her's the Wiki

Paranoid - Black Sabbath (1970)

OK, I have been vacilating on when in the draft i should take this, but the fact of the matter is, I would kill myself if i tried to play the game instead of taking whats in my heart. And whats in my heart is Celine Dion, oh wait, no, its:

The Beastie Boys

Licensed to Ill
- 1986

I cant even begin to describe what a big part of my life this was when it came out back in 1986. Paul Revere was the first song that i could sing without the benefit of the actual song being on in the background (i know it wasnt really singing, but it was close enough). Soooo many good songs that were great then and have survived the test of time. And who could forget 3MTA3? That craps great when you're 15!!!!
