Are you kidding me? Robinson Traded?

At this point in time, all I can hope for is further trades to clear up our mess at PG (as in get rid of them all and find an actual PG -- Jimmer is a SG). I sincerely doubt any of this happens though. The only trades that might happen would be further cost cutting moves. Just when I think the Maloof family has reached the lowest of the low, they find another way down. This can't be good for their reputation doing moves like this. I hope its their undoing. It would be just and fair.

Lastly, as if most here don't already know this, Grant Napear is a complete tool. This guy backs anything this stupid franchise does. Not only is he claiming that Patterson is worlds better than Robinson (really? What's he done?), but he's ok with the owners putting money in their pocket as a result. Seriously? Owning a pro sports team is not about making trades that directly put more money in your pocket. It's about making moves that improve your team. Doing so puts more money in your pocket indirectly as more fans want to come out and pay to see your team. If the New York Yankees did business like this, he'd be ripping them a new one. But since this is the franchise that signs his checks, he toes the line even though they won't be his bosses next season. That guy seriously needs to grow a pair.
Look, we all know who and what Grant is, but if the shoes were on your feet you would probably do the same. Yes, they do pay his salary. Quite a large one at that. He will be looking to continue his employment with new ownership. New ownership is not going to want an employee that throws his current bosses under the bus when things go south because things like that tend to repeat themselves. What they do want is someone who remains professional DESPITE how he feels about whats been happening. ANY employee who badmouths their bosses and their decisions while still collecting a big check would be a fool. I don't like the mouthpiece he is either but i accept that you are not going to get the straight dope from him. You should too. Try to not take him too seriously. He is a great NBA announcer and I hope he remains with the Kings in Sacramento.

**** this franchise. Is it any wonder we've been perennial losers for years now with no light at the end of the tunnel? The sooner those talentless, brainless, incompetent sacks of steaming dog s**t sell the team for good, the better. And Petrie can take a walk while they're at it. And lest anyone think I'm satisfied with Smart or the coaching staff, they can let the door obliterate their useless asses on the way out.

The sooner this franchise is stripped clean from the top all the way down, the better. Talk about sheer incompetance. Petrie has been King of these side-stepping moves for a decade now. I just hope the team is in Sacramento when all the deadwood is cleared (and there is a monstrous heap of deadwood within the organisation).

I will never forgive Napear for his actions over the last two years. He's gotta go replace him with cm Dave.
Who is the guy that does(did?) the halftime report for the Kings. He also ran the chat for the Kings during the games. I think he is the third radio person behind GMan and Fat. Drawing a blank on his name but I would LOVE to have him replace Napear. He has a good knowledge of the game and seems like a stand up guy. Younger guy too so has room to grow into the spot and be here for a long time.

This is just further proof that you cannot be an objective sports analyst and talk show host if you're also collecting a nice paycheck from one of the teams you're going to be talking about.

And does anybody know if that 2nd rounder is this years? I mean, WE gave a 2nd rounder to THEM?! What the f**k is going on here? We should have got a first rounder back, never mind giving them a pick. And if it's this years second rounder, I'll scream. Talk about throwing away assets for no damn reason. Argghh!!! This franchise is insufferable far too often. How do people get positions high up in an organisation when they're CLEARLY so incompetent? Serious question.

I actually do like Patterson as a player. He's got a great offensive skill set and should fit nicely next to Reke and Cousins. We have a real need for efficient players in general and Patterson immediately becomes the most efficient player on the team

I'm just in utter shock that ANY team would deal a top 5 pick 51 games into his career. Just goes to show what an utter crap show our organization is right now

Assuming, of course, we don't wake up to hear that Reke and Cousins have been traded for Luke Walton and cash considerations.

Personally I have no idea why people are so upset. I never really liked the Robinson pick. I didn't think he fit well here. Honeycutt and Garcia were non factors. Actually Robinson technically was a non factor as well.

Patterson is a better player right now than Robinson is, and we don't even know if Robinson will ever be any good.

Petrie has liked Aldrich for a while now so I assume he wanted him included in order to check him out.

I don't like the idea of another midget 2guard but oh well. I doubt he will see much playing time unless someone gets injured.

It's not a good trade by any means, but it's basically crap for crap so it's of no consequence to me. I don't like or hate it.

Jim Kozimor. He does the hour long sports talk show Chronicle Live on CSN Bay Area every night at 5 (If there isn't a Ws game on).

So if we accept that conclusion, it gets down to just one thing - more money for the Maloofs. There is almost universal agreement on every other fan or sports board I've visited that this trade doesn't do anything to make the Kings better. It's just another indication as to how far this team has sunk into the stinky stuff at the bottom of the outhouse.

jesus christ. stand pat until the sale is completed. stand pat, goddammit. only this kings regime could **** that up so royally. geoff petrie will find himself in a permanent state of unemployment on the other side of this mess...

unhappy. too early to give up on a lottery pick outside of a "too good to be true" trade scenario...which this trade most certainly is NOT.

Don't be absurd. Adding Luke Walton in is too much. Cash is fine for the Maloofs! I honestly feel bad for the city of Sacramento. A group of owners desperately trying to stay rich and doing their best to destroy a city in the process. No one deserves such treatment.
