[NBA] Comments that Don't Warrant Their Own Thread (Playoffs?)

Not sure if anyone else heard, but Pau Gasol is supposedly upset with a teammate and is not speaking to that person again and causing very poor on court chemistry.

He is supposed to be depressed because his gf fiance broke up with him a short while ago and was due to that teammate's wife talking Pau's gf into dumping him.

The lakers with this melt down and assuming they don't win 4 in a row to pull a miracle, I see some major changes in the off season.

I see them trying to shop Artest, Odom, Gasol and Bynum. Under normal situations, you don't trade star bigs like Gasol. But kobe has a no trade clause and I suspect that teammate Pau is not speaking to is kobe. So if they can get a star in return for Pau, they might trade him. Bynum will always be shopped because of his long term risk.

Love this. Talkin mad **** right now down in SoCal. Good thing I'm a broad shouldered 6'1 or I'd have a busted lip by now!

Dirk is just crushing them to bits. Hopefully this kills his rep as a choker. Dirk has always beasted in the postseason, just never had this good a team around him.

I don't blame Phil for laying into Pau (though he probably should have also screamed at Odumb for forgetting to even be on the same side of the court as Peja in the 4th quarter). The Lakers are melting down in epic fashion and I am loving every second of it.

I hope the Mavs win the whole thing if and when Boston gets knocked out. I want Peja to get that ring, and I've played against Jose Juan Berea (He went to Northeastern) .. alotta players to root for on that team. (as long as you exclude Kidd and Stevenson).

I'm down with the Mavs winning it. Anything, and I mean anything, is better than Miami winning it.

Unfortunately, the downside to the Lakers losing is the massive uptick in the Heat winning. The Mavs actually beat the Heat both times this season, although they were early season matchups. But when you look at the rosters, the Mavs might be set up worse to beat the Hea than anybody left in the playoffs. They don't have weapons at either of the positions you would like to to punsih the Heat (PG, C). They've got nobody to stay with Wade (still, 4 years after he singlehandedly beat them). That's a rough go if the Heat are fired up.

We'll lend them Tyreke and DMC!

That is fair observation, but we'll see what will happen, if they actually meet. I wouldn't exclude Chicago from a title race, because they proved that they can beat Miami several times this season.

Every shot peja nailed made me smile inside... he's finishing what he started 9 years ago... its fitting they SWEEP the lakers Happy for peja to finally deal with the lakers... The mavs like Dirk, Kidd and Marion deserve a ticket to the NBA finals they need to win, they need to realize its their chance.. the thunder/grizz will have their shot in the next few years, mavs need to deal with this NOW.

frankly I think that's their drive, in terms of winning a ring their hunger absolutely topples over the need for the lakers to win another won, lakers have been there done that, they have nothing to prove and lose, other than the 3peat legacy. the mavs, they have everything to lose, this maybe their last chance, the window was almost closing and dirk kicked it wide open again.

Plus I don't like how people say that if the lakers get eliminated its only a matter of time before LBJ hoists his first Championship, If I recall we had one underdog team stun the superstar team, Pistons vs lakers... anything can happen :D this has been a REALLY SOLID offseason/playoffs for everyone one of the Best months of May

I also have been reading about pau getting dumped by his girl... feel bad for the guy but he needs to get his head on straight he's hurting his team (which I don't appreciate cause I want the lakers to get beat with out their fanboys making it an excuse.. but meh Ill take it) would be funny if the reason for that would be cause pau doesnt want to shave his beard

It will be interesting to see how the Thunder respond to this loss.

They should have won this game, but Westbrook single-handedly shot them out of the victory.

With that said, you've got to give Memphis credit for playing tough when it looked as if the Thunder was going to easily take the game.

I don't think Westbrook can be overrated yet, this was his breakout year. It's just Westbrook still can't shoot, I hope Tyreke is taking notice.

Westbrook trying to take over the game made me think of the kings last game of the season. And when durant tried to high five him he ignored him.

Rondo played the 4th after dislocating his elbow in the 3rd...Tough lil bugger.

Also, some retro KG tonight, dude destroyed Chris Bosh. Garnett: 28/18, 13-20 from the field. Bosh: 6/5, 1-6 from the field. Just nasty!

And he did it mostly with one arm. Except on the play where he stole the ball and took it all the way back. For all the talk of no Celtics future people forget about Rondo. Hopefully he will be good to go the rest of the way.

In any event it was nice to see the Celtics that could compete with the Heat back in action.

He was operating with 1 arm. He knows he can work with 1 hand because his BBIQ is off the charts. He doesnt need 2 hands to make good decisions
