[NBA] Comments that Don't Warrant Their Own Thread (Playoffs?)

This is the second game now where Peja was alone underneath the basket for the rebound and the ball literally fell into his hands but he slapped it away like it was covered with bees and his hands were made out of honey.

Could Dallas actually win it this year? I really have no idea who is going to win any of the other series.
I would love to see a fight between Dallas and the Grizz in the west, and then see Dallas go on and whoop Miami. I want Dirk to get a ring. Kidd too. Dallas was way underrated because of their recent history, but the addition of Chandler, and still with Haywood, has given them the interior D they've lacked. Their key players have matured, but not slowed much, and they've gotten tougher over the years. They have a ton of talent and that Barea guy is fun as hell to root for when he's not playing the Kings. You can also tell their chemistry is very good. Their older guys have all made their money mostly (Kidd, Dirk, Marion...) so now are content to really play team ball and go for the win. They move the ball very well, have great shooters, and almost always get a good shot, and usually a wide open jumper if they want. They got that all night on the Lakers, when they weren't either giving it to Dirk to embarrass Pau or letting Barea demonstrate layups. Lot of maturity and professionalism on that team. Chuck knows.

If it's Miami vs Dallas... I see Miami having a hard time with the matchups. Nobody can guard Dirk anyways.

They're D is good, but it shouldn't really be a surprise when you look at the team.

Dallas has a roster full of player who deserves a ring before they retire. You got Dirk, Kidd, Peja and Marion who I would say got robbed many times. I hope they make it.

Dallas' execution is just brilliant. Not only that high pick and roll with Barea (who can simply do what he wants out there, the nash comparison was kind of on point, i thought), but also before. That's of course a credit to their team, but also to Rick Carlisle, who is one of the most under the radar great coaches in the league, especially his Xs and Os are amazing. If the Kings only were able to get their hands on such a coach (again), how much stronger would they be?

Carlisle no doubt is a great coach. But I can't say enough things about how quality Kidd's game is, in terms of managing the offense. Knowing when to push it, when to take the open three, when to swing it, great in the open court... and the oncourt leadership. Dallas is clicking. And Kidd is the main reason.

These older guards...it's almost like they get better when they get really old... Kidd, Nash. They play the game the way it's meant to be played. Watch Nash get traded again to another playoff contender and go another three years and win a title.

Also true, of course. Having a veteran leader with *that* much understanding of the game, and be able to produce on court, is immeasurably valuable. I just hope Dallas pulls it off, I could go dance in the streets. If only Miami were losing, this would be the greatest playoffs ever.

I'm definitely rooting for Dallas to win this series, but I'm conflicted about the possibility of them winning a championship. On the one hand, Jason Kidd is one of my favorite players of all time, and I'd like to see him get a ring but, on the other hand, I'd also like to see Dirk Nowitzki get hit in the face with a snow shovel.

I guess if your winning championships, Ron Ron is happy. If not he blows up at the EXACT point is looks like it might be out of reach.

Ron Ron banned for one game after flagrant on mighty mouse who was destroying him all night. Citizenship at it's best no doubt. The NBA, where childish clotheslines in desperation time of a season on the brink happens. Just makes me want the Lakers to lose even more.

I dunno...even though we lost a heartbreaker to Minnesota that year, it sure was awesome to see the team-oriented Pistons destroy the Hall of Fame Lakers back in '04

The only things better than the Kings knocking Kobe out of the playoffs, which won't happen, is an ex-King like Peja playing a big part in knocking them out.
