what was the last movie you watched?

I saw Signs for the first time last week. Thats right - first time. I liked it better than I thought I would. Not great, but better than I thought it would be.
Also saw The Lovely Bones two nights ago. Not my first choice of movies to see, but im used to it by now
I liked it though. It was different. Some of the scenery was excellent. Cant really get into the plot though, dont want to give anything away. I havent read the book, and dont plan on reading it, so im not sure how fans of the book will like the movie. Its worth a watch.

I think I read that Pixar has won best animated movie all 4 years the award has been given. Good track record!

Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus -- As a huge Terry Gilliam fan, I sadly didn't love this one quite as much as I wanted to. Enjoyed a lot of it, though. The cast was great, including Ledger and his three replacements, and there were some great ideas and visuals sprinkled throughout, but the story was... a little off. I would imagine that has a lot to do with how things were shuffled around in order to maximize the amount of useable footage from before Ledger's passing, but it was still unfortunate.
I was hoping you'd see this and comment on it. I was also hoping they would have been able to pull off the drastic amount of rewriting, etc. they had to do just to get it done. The three stars who stepped in for Heath Ledger all donated their salaries to Ledger's young daughter so I hope Ledger fans support it even if it isn't quite what it might have been.
Nothing but the truth. This is a good movie if you like political drama. By the way, if I was a reporter, I sure wouldn't take it as far as Bekinsdale's character did in this movie.
Crossing Over - Had no idea what this movie was about, but I figured Harrison Ford and Ashley Judd were in it so it mustn't be that bad. Well, it was pretty good. Got to admit, it was kind of hard to follow but it came all together at the end. I must admit, I am no Ray Liotta fan.

Agreed. Different than other appocalypse movies, granted... but Oldman's character did not come across as any great or memorable villian... also,
At the very end of the movie, when Mila Kunis takes all his clothes and weapons and turn around heroically as she's leaving Alcatraz, I just thought it was the cheesiest freaking thing ever. I mean, 20 minutes ago this chick could not fend off two attackers and now she's going to trek hundreds of miles of barren wasteland filled with psychos with a blade, an old rusty gun and what looks to be an Ipod?? Good shooting by Eli considering he was blind. If Petrie could draft with perfect eyesight like Eli could shoot blind we'd be winning the championship every year. Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all night...
Saw "From Paris With Love" yesterday and while over the top at times, it was pretty entertaining and it is obvious John Travolta was enjoying himself through this one.
Just watched "9" - while somewhat engrossing and visually a work of art, not sure what to think of it as I am still not sure what the point was.

I just watched avatar finally, I think i was the last person on earth to see it!
It was a good movie, very well done visually and a solid story.
I got a kick afterwards finding out that people actually have a syndrome called "Avatar Depression Syndrome". Its where people are severely depressed, because they cant live in the realm of Avatar called Pandora and they are stuck on earth... haha seriously?
