Kings Fan’s TV Show Draft! - Round 20

sorry for the lack of write-ups, but i'm pressed for time (and lack of sleep and work!).

alvin and the chipmunks

(after tradepeja makes his double picks, please skip me, thanks!)

For my next selection I have decided to go with another comedy. An oldie but a goodie, with talent like John Candy, Rick Moranis, and Eugene Levy, you can not go wrong! :p
My next pick:

SCTV- (1976-1981)

WOW did not think some one would take it considering it is a Canadian show filmed in my home town no less. It was my sleeper pick.

tradepeja has officially timed out. His picks will be forfeited if not made up within 24 hours :(.

Since Jerryaki skipped for now I guess I'm up. Pick coming :).

With Raw gone, Im going to need a wrestling fix.

With my 17th pick , I select WWE Smackdown (1999 - Present)

I used to be a huge wrestling fan. Not so much anymore .. I dont think Ive actually watched an episode of Raw or Smackdown for years, but I still want the option. I have a decent library of wrestling here .. I would rather have Raw, but I could do worse than Smackdown for my 17th pick.

For my next selection I decided to go with something I remember used to make me laugh a lot when I was a kid. I remember watching this show every week with my Grandma. Hi, I am Larry, this is my brother Darryl, and this is my other brother Darryl. ;)

Newhart (1982-1990)

Okay, instant cool points to anyone who remembers my next pick. Not even much of a record of it on the interwebs.

Reel Wild Cinema - USA (1994ish-1996ish) -- Loved this show, but it didn't last near enough. Hosted by Sandra Bernhard, dedicated to cult cinema (as well as stuff too obscure to even be cult), showed clips of wacko movies (and possibly full movies on occasion?), had interviews with tons of cult icons -- Tura Satana, Mamie Van Doren, Roger Corman, Russ Meyer, Vampira, etc. -- just a big bundle of awesome. That needs to be released on DVD. Or torrented. Or something.

Desperate Housewives (2004-current)

Where would we be without Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria? Am I trolling for the ladies' vote? Or for those men who also secretly like to watch the show...one can never tell. I had to triple-check to make sure this wasn't taken.

WALKING WITH DINOSAURS (1999)

LOVE dinosaurs...I'm still a little boy in that regard, I suppose. I can't believe this series is that old already, but it still holds up.

BUT...

The dinosaurs go extinct at the end!!!

Oh wow. I was wondering why it was taking so long to get to me. My PM box was at 100% :(

Any chance I can remake the picks?
No man...I sent you two FYI/reminder messages, and you've logged on plenty to check this thread and see when you'd be coming up...Sorry, but rules is rules.

Edit: Due to outcry from VF21 I'll be a bit more lenient and only have you forfeit your last pick (which can be made up if no more time-outs occur). Please make up your picks within 24 hours :).

So, if jalfa has timed out and Kingzrool has asked to be skipped, it appears AleksandrN is on the clock. I'll send him a PM...

Wow! You couldn't just leave well enough alone Spike. Just when I thought you had ripped my entire heart out when you picked Married With Children, you went ahead and found the last little bit of it by taking this show! :p I was silly to think it was going to last any longer. I figured it should have been taken way earlier on!!!

Great pick........................... Jerk! :D;)

My initial pick was unfortunately pre-stolen from me by that devious Spike. So, since I think I still need a cooking show, I'm going to go straight for the best show about good old-fashioned southern home cooking ever made IMHO...

Paula's Home Cooking - 2002 to present

A regular diet of her food would probably take 40 years off your life, but it just might be worth it.

Along with a couple of other people around here, I'm a big fan of BBC comedies. I'm glad this one is still available as Hyacinthe Bucket (pronounced bouquet) never fails to bring a smile to my face. This is my pick for round 18:

Keeping Up Appearances - 1990-1995
