Months after the Rubio train sailed to Minnesota, The Bee allows its most productive trolling beat writer to write its most unrelated NBA/Kings/Rubio article of ALL TIME. I realize my own feelings on this subject give the article, and its maker more credit than it and she deserves. However i don't realize how it was allowed to see daylight. It was like an old Rubio article, spruced up to be a new one. If another team holds the rights to a player, it is nonsense to drum up any support for acquiring said rights. Some one please tell me I'm not alone in thinking this article needs to be retracted and the author has to be held accountable for such unrelated, life wasting, words.

Even better, If one feels that the article has merit and is worth defending, please tell me why.

Couldnt agree more.

Im at the point where I think Voison needs to go before Angela Tsai .. She just doesnt bring anything to the table and her opinions are so far out there that I cant even tell where she is coming from half the time. Sometimes I think she's drunk and/or high when she thinks about what to write.

When she wrote that article that said something along the lines of " Westphal isnt sexy enough for the Kings" I decided she isnt worth my time. Now I read her work to remind me why newspapers are dying.

I only get the Bee because once in a while there is a "buy one - get one free" coupon for Texas West BBQ, and it makes good kindling to start campfires.

It is a complete piece of crap sports section. I can hardly believe the sports editor has a job.

When they got rid of Kriedler and Cooper they lost me. I think they were too intelligent for the sports editor to have around.

The Bee is almost a parody at this point - kind of like The Onion. I only take a look at it online almost for comical entertainment. It's like a new train wreck each day. The sports section is probably the poorest section of them all.

The article to which you refer has to be one of the poorest excuses for an article I have seen in a major newspaper. I found it both laughable and disturbing at the same time. I even felt bad for Voison when reading it. It was just embarrassing.

The good part for this site is that the Bee's inadequate sports coverage is the reason I found this place. There are many people here that cover the Kings much better than the Bee.

Take Bricky for example, I really don't care for the arrogance and usually disagree with him. However, he writes well, has insightful opinions and his knowledge about the Kings is very solid. His writings far surpass what the Bee offers. He is just one example. There are many others here who put the Bee's sports writers to shame.

Keep in mind that Voisin pretty much started and led the Ricky Rubio fan club. She tried her best to convince the Maloofs to overrule Petrie and draft him. You can't expect her to let go of that horse this quickly...

And one other thing? If you're going to start a poll and call someone in the media an idiot, it's just looks a little more intelligent if you spell their name right. I corrected it for you. :p

The Bee is an absolute GARBAGE newspaper all around. I'm actually a little upset that the premier news that educates Sacramento is as stupid as it is.

Voisin on the other hand is just the person who pours gasoline onto the fire of stupidity.

We canceled our subscription to the Bee due to the moronic sports writers and the one sided opinions. figuring we get most of our sports news online anyways, decided not to contribute to the paper anymore!

I'd rather say that this was a true "homey" article based on Aileen's previous/continuing support for Rubio. Didn't have any bearing I could see on the Kings 2009-10 much less 2010-11. Would even be a major stretch to call it fill in for TDOS as it currently is meaningless. PG wise I'm really much more interested in finding out what Rodriguez brings to the table. But if she is not a Rodriguez fan........................... :p

BUT BUT BUT BUT....

That article supplied me with my signature! So at least she's good for something.. I do think the Rubio stuff is getting a bit out of hand.. He's not coming here end of story.

That quote was actually said by Paul Silas.

OOPS.. wrong Paul.. fixed.. Other than that quote the rest of the article sucked. Have no idea why I was thinking Westphal when Silas was right in front of me.. My mind is on vacation as well =/

Exactly, zero bearing on the 09-10 or 10-11 seasons. I was offended by main topic being an athlete not drafted by Sacramento, but was nonetheless the subject of a Sacramento Bee article. Its pee poor filler. Its like she has been following hoopshype.com/rumors and decided to start her own rumor based on dirt. and thought we would be entertained by the idea like little girls who have a crush on Robert Pattenson. ?Como se di-se "grasping for straws" en espanol? She's gonna be doing a whole lot of straw graspin when she's living in a van down by the RIVER! I feel the Bee would be better served with a Kingsfans post in stead of an Voison article. All the Editor of the Bee would have to do is Ask VF21, and it would be. People with good opinions should be allowed words printed to paper, not people without their own opinions, because the whole "hey sacramento!, don't forget about Rubio" isn't an an editorial opinion. Its a dying cry of a writer who lost what i believe was never there to begin with, entertainment value. I am not amused or pleased by having to start this thread, i would rather comment on a proper article having much to do with the 09kings campaign. Negative feedback for Voison is better than no feedback at all, and she loves it like smeagol loves his precious. In summary, i would like to say one thing; It's Not Cool.

Judging from that regular sidebar the editor writes, and the fact that Marty's embarrassing attempt at a "three-dot lounge" lasted so long, I'd say that anything written above a third-grade level is too intelligent.

Why would you bother to use Paul Silas' comment about Evans? Sorry, Gary, but I think you're losing it...

It has something to do with a certain player and a certain position which I won't talk about until the season starts :) The sig quote will have to be enough until then.

Cuz Paul Silas was such a great coach and leaves behind a great legacy as a wonderful evaluator of talent? I agree with VF and the "losing it" part. I guess Voisin isn't the only one grasping at straws.......

OOH, OOH! I got an idea! How about we give away our content for free on the internet, raise our news stand price, and dilute our talent pool of writers?

OOOOH! Let's misinterpret issues and try to inform people upon things we are biased towards as well. We're the only paper in town! Trust me, people are gonna love it!

Every news outlet can be pigeonholed. That's why I check at least 3. A conservative, Liberal, and funny one. Same thing with sports. I check at least 3 sources when a story comes up.

Hypocrite? For saying Silas does not have a history as either a good coach or good judge of talent? How am I saying or indicating that I personally know more than Silas?

It's nowhere near you intimating that a coach was wrong to play somebody at a certain position because you think he should play a different position.

Keep your name calling to yourself, especially when you can't even back it up. It's classless.

BTW, how did you get this:
who said that paul silas was a bad judge of talent?
from this:
Cuz Paul Silas was such a great coach and leaves behind a great legacy as a wonderful evaluator of talent?

Nowhere in what I wrote does it say "bad judge of talent". So where did you get that? I might have been sarcastic in intimating that he was not a "great judge of talent", but dude don't put words in my mouth. It's emabarassing that you would even go there. I thought you were better than that?

What? Your sarcastic comment is exactly what he responded to. Are you really trying to argue the difference in "bad judge of talent" and "not so great judge of talent"? Is there a difference in "Paul Silas sucks" and "Paul Silas can't coach"? The words might be different but they mean the exact same thing.

Voiding Michael Finleys contract - 10 million in savings
Collecting insurance for Allan Houston - 20 Million dollars
Trading for Chris Webber - Priceless
......................
Ailene Voison's opinions - not worth a dime

Geez.. Let it go.. I am not going to argue about that until the season starts and he proves all the huggers that his natural position is not PG.. Until then, let's talk about something else.. I am not "losing" anything. I simply have an opinion which is the same as a ton of experts, coaches, scouts, former coaches, announcers, ect ect ect.. Just because it doesn't sit right with some Kings fans doesn't mean I am losing my mind. I have an opinion and I am sticking with it until that particular SG proves to me that in fact he is a SG playing out of position.

thank you..... thats exactly why i didnt reply to his post, like.... are you serious?

thank you.... thank you, thank you, thank you.... like, what else could you be possibly saying? that he was just good not great? what the hell does that mean? that he is a satisfactory judge of talent? if he was wouldnt that be a good reason to quote him? he's good, no one said he was the greatest but good is good enough. a bmw isnt a ferarri but its still a nice car....

Of course you didn't respond, you couldn't and had to wait for someone else to jump on it before you could. I still am waiting for you to tell me how come you twisted my words.

And as for your analogy, well if a Ferrari, Calipari, tells me its the fastest car on the road (the best position to play Evans is at pg because that is where he and the team will succeed) and a BMW, Silas, tells me that it is faster (that Evans seems to be more of a sg) well I'm more inclined to believe the Ferrari based on past results and overall success of said Ferrari.

Yes, I am telling you that there is a difference. I said he is not going to leave a legacy as a wonderful judge of talent, which leaves open the fact that he might be ADEQUATE but he will never be Jerry West or somebody of that caliber.

Is there a difference in "Paul Silas sucks" and "Paul Silas can't coach"? The words might be different but they mean the exact same thing.
Umm, no they don't. What I said was more along the lines of Paul Silas was not a great coach. That is nowhere in the neighborhood of 'sucks'. 'Not great' leaves open 'good', 'ok', 'adequate', 'all right', 'bad', 'terrible' and any other adjective you want to use that would fit in there, including but not limited to 'sucks'.

Look, you can get mad at me all you want for getting my digs in. I don't mind being a scapegoat for somebody's frustration with not understanding where I'm coming from. Especially since I am using my wife's account and don't have a high post count. But please try to understand that everything I have been saying has been my disagreement of what other poster are saying, and the fact that they tell ME to let it go but yet I see them bringing up the same thing 2 threads from now. I would think I'm entitled to at least that.
