I have to agree that Evans is going to be better at PG because the Kings success is predicated on how well Evans performs, and if he has the ball in his hands more often, like he would playing pg, it would allow him to average higher stats. His stats are very important, as they are for all players because they tell who the player is and what he can do. It would serve The Kings best to allow Evans to rack up as much as he can in every statistical category, and it helps his assists/blocks/steals if he plays against other points. He might even rebound and score better at that position.

Gary - What I meant by "you're losing it" is quite simply that I didn't see how you could have mistaken "Silas" for "Westphal"... Once you admitted your error, I was truly puzzled. A quote by Westphal about Evans playing the 2 would be significant and worth quoting. A comment by Silas is, IMHO, pretty meaningless. I've come to expect more of your signatures over the years. :)

Geez.. Let it go.. I am not going to argue about that until the season starts and he proves all the huggers that his natural position is not PG.. Until then, let's talk about something else.. I am not "losing" anything. I simply have an opinion which is the same as a ton of experts, coaches, scouts, former coaches, announcers, ect ect ect.. Just because it doesn't sit right with some Kings fans doesn't mean I am losing my mind. I have an opinion and I am sticking with it until that particular SG proves to me that in fact he is a SG playing out of position.
I doubt a lot of us really care if he's a SG playing PG, playing out of position. Personally all I care about is the W. As long as he is an impact player, a go to guy, bring toughness that we need, capable of drawing double team, etc. Someone that would give his all, day in and night. He can play center for all I care.

And THIS is the basis of my argument right here. I care about the W's in the win column. Other's might care about the position he is called while racking up the W's, but ALL I CARE ABOUT IS THE FACT THAT EVANS WILL HELP US WIN GAMES, especially because he will be so tough in the clutch. I don't care what you call him, give dude the ball and lets PLAY!

Same here with me.

Some fans just can't accept the fact that the Rubio's overhyped boat have gone sailing somewhere else and away from Sacramento - which actually turned out better for the Kings coz we got the better player in Evans. And now, it was all Evans' fault disguised as " EVANS IS NOT A POINT GUARD ".

I admit, I was initially sucked in by the Rubio hype, but I'm happy we have Evans and look forward to what he'll bring to the team regardless of the position he plays. Really, it's time to move on. I feel like we need Coach Dale yelling his "this is your team" speech in the middle of Arco.

Oh, and also:

San Diego (women) impressed me much more than LA, they seemed to be much more substantial and well rounded down there.
I beg to differ :D

Same... If it works then I will admit I am wrong.. If not then I will lead the protest to get him moved to the correct position.

That's good and all but I do not want to see another Allen Iverson out there. Ball hogs are my least favorite type of players out there.

I guess that's the diff between me and you. I'll take that if it gets me a chance to root for my team in the championships, and having a contender for the next decade.

I have yet to hear ANYONE say anything even remotely indicating that Tyreke is a ball hog.

I don't know but I've seen a fair number of scouts and "analysts" along with Memphis fans claim that he tended to overdominate possessions and sometimes gets so wrapped up in trying to drive to the whole that he forgets to look for teammates. Not exactly the same as ballhogging but it doesn't suggest great court vision.

True, it has been quoted but I don't put much into it because he was the best player and the overall talent dropoff from Evans to the others was enough for him to just keep the ball.

So you want an Iverson type player? No thanks.. I want us to win just as much as you do, but I don't want to lose and have a ball hog problem.

No I want a winner, someone to help us win games in the clutch. Put the ball in his hands and watch something positive happen. Hasn't been that way around here for a long time.....if ever. Webb was good, but he didn't always come through in the clutch. Played with a crapload of heart, though.
edit;
Not to mention, the reason he played the way he did at Memphis is because he was CLEARLY the best player on the team by far. Playing with someone like Martin whom he can pass the ball to and trust that something positive will come of it, not to mention if Thompson can develop into a low block threat and Hawes can hit the midrange shot consistently, well, you can see why I'm ecstatic to have him play the point. Evans could single handedly redefine the pg position much the way people thought LBJ would redefine it.
