I switched up here for this section of the draft to get my full itunes library select some songs that aren't currently loaded on the ipod I've been drafting from. So itunes wants me to select next....

I really think this song of the peak of Weezer. It is the best song on their best album (narrowly in both, though) and everything after tends to pale in comparison. Rivers' song writing and lyrics are just at their absolute freaking best here though I might be a little biased because this song relates pretty well to me and has some lines in it that just come off odd but seem to make perfect sense to me (most notably the "bring home the bacon" line).

Dance of the Manatee - Fair to Midland - Fables From A Mayfly: What I Tell You Three Times Is True
Yes thats a long title for an album. I think Fair to Midland is an awesome band and I'm choosing them because they are one of my favorite bands and I think they need a little more publicity. They are very different and unique and the singer's range is incredible. The entire Fables From A Mayfly is great and it has alot of variety in it. The link i posted goes to the official music video, but the embed is of the song live..so if you want a better quality of the song i suggest you check out the music video...which is kinda wierd as well.

Yeah, I love it too. For me, the music is great and all, and I enjoy that, but its the pure, meaningful lyrics that show you how good Rivers can be that get me.
And yeah, some people are adhering to that unwritten rule, of no songs from the album draft, some aren't.
I would have, but I picked Smells Like Teen Spirit on a whim without thinking I had got it in the album draft as well. Otherwise, I probably would have tried to stray away from my album songs.

Sleeping Lessons - The Shins - Wincing The Night Away (2007)
I used to think that The Shins are very good to begin with. After their latest album I really think that they can be great. We'll see about that, but this is one of my favorite songs of past 2 years.

Yeah, I am pretty sure I commented on El Scorcho extensively when I picked Pinkerton, there is so much I love about it lyrically, from the opening line to the old school ECW reference back from the days when ECW was in like 4 cities.

The arguement about who is the better snger in the other thread is moot IMO. I think the band it self is greater then one individual. My favourite band of all time. My first record I owned was AC/DC's High Voltage. I still have the record. This song though when I first heard it I was already a fan after hearing it AC/DC became my favourite band since.
