Welcome!

I think Spencer will be a great fit for us! He is very young and eager to work and improve. He already has the most polished post moves of any player in the draft. Once he bulks up and gains some strength his rebounding and defense will come along just fine. Now we finally have another player over 6'8".

Please I really hope everyone here will at least give him a chance!

I will take this as a good pick....I have always said that brad miller needed to play the 4 spot and draft a center...now i think we need to trade for a PG and send bibby packing...maybe Acie Law

Spencer- welcome to Sacramento. I for one and willing to actually let you get out of your teenage years, let you have an NBA training camp, and a full season before I condemn you.

You immediately become our best back to the basket player in the last 10 years.

Hawes was a need, hes everything Miller is if not more athletic plus the best low post game in the draft, now we pair up an athletic big beside him and we got ourselves a frontcourt.

Welcome Spence - and a little hint around here. You might want to take that "God bless George Bush" bumper sticker off your car in lots of places around the flat lands of Sacramento. If you buy a nice house up in Placer or El Dorado county it won't be a problem.

Seriously though. One of the biggest eye sores watching a Kings game the past few years is looking at our height challenged bench compared to virtually every other team in the NBA. Hopefully, you're just the first of a couple pieces that will correct that defect.

My dad and I are watching the draft and when they said on espn that Hawes had a "I love George Bush bumper sticker" on his car my dad shouted out "I love him already great pick" lol.

I think Hawes has a better inside game than Brad and is an excellent passer. He is young, big and a very bright, articulate, hard working guy. We improved our weakest position. I wouldn't be surprised to see us trade Brad, if someone would take his contract.
