There is no topic

Tonight is the first night in weeks that I haven't been crazy busy with the 5,000 other things I've got going on right now, so I intentionally cleared my schedule and put tonight aside for nothing but laziness and vegetation.

And, of course, I'm bored out of my skull.

Just had to revitalize this thread to express how truly sick and &*()^$ tired I am of downloading yet another batch of viruses and invasive spyware while doing something as innocuous as looking up song lyrics.

ok, and on the other side...today was probably the most girliest day I've had in my life...i went shopping, then took my daughter and me to get a manicure and pedicure. She got her haircut and we both got our brows waxed...

she of course enjoyed every minute of it, and me well.....i enjoyed the time with my daughter.

Okay, any minute now, the computer program that I use for my job will start functioning again so that I can start my huge workload for the day. Either that or the IT dept. will be so nice and let us know exactly when they have an ETA on the problem. One can always hope...

Just came back from a weekend cabin stay in Lake Tahoe and sooo wish I was still there right now.

Oh, before I forget.....I have a 4 day workweek and then I am off on vacation. I am traveling to Illinois to visit my mama (and other family members). It has been almost 1 1/2 years since I moved back to Sacramento. A family visit is way overdue. I'll be gone from Oct 14th to the 22nd.

I am so excited!!!!

Have a wonderful trip, 6th!!

I've also got a 4-day workweek and then a 2-day workweek next week then I'll be heading down south for another visit and a Laker game...or 2.

My mom is the computer "wizard" for her whole neighborhood. All the other seniors come to her when they have problems with emails, etc. I'm very proud of her.

When I recently worked at a senior home, we had a weekly computer class for them. The biggest required skill for prospective teachers was patience and understanding. But most of the residents turned out to be pretty computer-savvy. I don't remember any horror stories about them doing anything crazy to their computers.
