Should Tetsujin be allowed to shirk his duty to go out partying in Tokyo?

This was just an AWFUL game by this team. They are undisciplined and unable to finish games. They have little to no talent. Without Cousins they have been exposed time and time again as a BAD TEAM of Scrubs !
Without a real coach we will never be anything. We had to install a new offense 20 games in to the season because one guy is out ? What a joke of a coach.

Maybe, but he isn't in. It's a coaches job to adjust to injuries. It's not like he just missed tonight's game. We've been repeating this same crunch time garbage for a couple weeks.,
Obviously Malone felt he had a better chance with a pretty much guaranteed decent shot taken by Rudy than risk ball movement and missed execution with our players. Based on the turnovers lately, I can at least see his side of the argument.

It does not follow that simply because he makes that decision, he is a trash coach. He just made a different assessment.

Stauskas should not see the floor again until next year. Sessions needs to be waived immediately. Rudy Gay needs to calm down and accept that he is not the first option on a winning team.

D-Will with an amazing 6 turnovers tonight. Rudy deserves a lot of blame down the stretch but so does the rest of the team.
D-Will actually scored and played defense without reaching in non stop. That game is 100% on Rudy and our superstar backcourt duo of Nik and Ramon for being themselves, between them they have played 1 good game in 23 attempts.

Quiet a few of Derricks To's were a result of crap passes given to him as well. Derrick also put us in a position to win the game with a huge 3 that Rudy decided to hand back to the Rockets.

If Cousins was in, we'd be going iso with him. You wouldn't complain about ball movement then.
It has nothing to do with ball movement! Jesus. It has to do with putting the ball in the right guys hands for the ISO... And Rudy ain't that guy. Collison has been this teams best player next to Cuz and is by far the best ball handler and playmaker...so where is his ISO?

When we were up 3, we should have attacked the rim, not chucked a deep 3. When we had a chance to win the game at the buzzer, the ball should have been in Collison's hands, not a Rudy Gay iso, especially with how bad he's shot lately.

and then you start OT with Derrick Williams guarding James Harden. We all saw hot that turned out

bad coaching. plain and simple.

I didn't say he was a trash coach, but nice try to deflect. I commented on the poor coaching in consistently drawing up the same play for Rudy when it clearly isn't working.

I don't think it's a coincidence that a team with questionable depth that's missing a couple key guys starts to fade at the end of the fourth quarter and looks completely done in OT. These guys played hard. Darren and Ben especially -- but the kind of effort they gave us tonight is hard to sustain for 40 plus minutes of highly competitive basketball. We really need an effective third guard and an effective third big. There are a lot of ways we can potentially fill those holes. Early this season PDA said he wanted to give this group a chance to play and wait and see what needs would develop. I think we've seen now where we need some help.

...and as I type this, what do you know, it ain't over yet folks!

If Smart or Westfail was coaching this team we would be calling for his head, why aren't we doing the same for Malone?
To start with, he has the complete backing of our two best players, which is extremely important.

Second, he's shown this year when having a healthy Rudy and Cuz out there, we're a legit playoff level team.

He's also shown he's having some serious growing pains, but this isn't nearly similar to the situations Westy and Smart represented.

Whoops. Misread. Collision had 6. D-WIll had one.

Is that when he decided it was a good time to get Stauskas some quality playing time? Literally killed any chance to win the game.
Didn't you know these losses don't count because Cousins is out. Close games against good teams is a perfect time to bring in rookies to give them their confidence. Who cares about these silly things called wins.

Do we really need Nik if we have Ben developing at this rate is my question? Ben has shown to have a much higher ceiling as well what's the point of developing two guys that for the most part won't play together and play the same position?

This thread is polluted with maniacs calling for Malone's head because Rudy missed a chip shot on the last play of regulation. What thread are you reading???
Malone has been making questionable late game decisions all year. Calling an ISO at the end of the game for a guy who was 3-13 at the time is just another thing to add to the list

Legit playoff level team? LOL. Come on now. We won a few games here and there, but let's not kid ourselves, even with a healthy team, we weren't going to win 48-52 games.

Nobody, we should be playing team ball all the way when Boogie is out. Keep the ball moving until you get a good shot.
Easier said than done. Not to mention "keep the ball moving until you get a good shot" can have a wide variety of definitions. Do you mean until someone's open? Until someone sees a shot they can make? Until the end of the shot clock?
