Padrino - Looking at your list of favorite novels, you really need to read some Ferlinghetti. I strongly recommend "A Coney Island of the Mind." It's a collection of poems...

i've read them, as well as "these are my rivers." :D

"a coney island of the mind" is an excellent collection of poems. truly thought provoking, intuitive, and accessible stuff. its beat poetry with shades of ts eliot, though not nearly as layered or complex.

ferlinghetti is a great start for anybody interested in poetry -- "beat" or otherwise.

hm...kingsfans w/ firefox doesnt let me edit. i was gonna ask, VF, have you read any of ferlinghetti's novels? i've only read his poem collections, and now that you've brought him up, i'd be curious to hear about his novels if you've read them.
