Your favorite year...

All I want to know is what has been your favorite year of Kings basketball since Rick's hiring. I also want to know why you would pick that year and how you liked the lineup.

I personally dont have a favorite year... its a little hard for me to decide and chose between so many players I like and years they played but if you would like to share your thoughts please do.

2001-2002 I don't know if we'll ever be able to recapture the exhilaration of that season. Regardless of how it ended, it was the best ride of my life.

no doubt, 2001-2002, i mean, geez, so many things were happening for us but we just couldn't drop any shots in overtime... it did go into over time right... i forget... i was trying to forget it until now. Other than that year, for me, it was last year because i actually got to see Lebron James play his very first game, and overcome the hype. That and when jordan played his last game in arco, that was awesome to be in the same building with him.

I'd say 98-99. The year where we finally had a winning season. Back then, every single time we beat a strong team, it became a huge suprise. I still remember the game where they blow out the Suns in Phoenix. That hadn't happen for years before that.

Man, that's actually really tough for me. 98-99, the first year of the 'new' era, the play offs, the airport, the wonder of it all. Each year after seemed to just add on to that feeling, but 01-02, what a ride.

'01-'02 was by far the most successful, but '98-'99 was my favorite. A completely revamped lineup, and Jason Williams, one of the most exciting rookies ever. I had never been so high on my Kings, and it was a different feeling to actually EXPECT to win every night, as opposed to watching the games and just hoping we could keep it close, the way it used to be.

I know that 2002 was sooooooo exciting, but I am having trouble choosing between then and 1985. We got a pro basketball team. That was on of the most exciting years of my life........well, one of them.

2002 was one of the toughest years of my life, sports wise...2 game 7 hearbreakers from the teams i love..both teams choked....kings, then giants.....both had game 6 locked up then got screwed.......man it hurts.....

I have 3 which I view pretty equal

Mid '85 - 86 my first year as a Kings fan (same year I moved to CA)

'98 I can remember a game against Utah. I had bleeders and went down to the lower level during the last 2 min of the 4th. It was so loud my ears were buzzing.

'01 of course that season, perhaps the highest and lowest I have felt during the playoffs.
