YOUR BACK-AGAINST-THE-WALL CARDIAC KINGS

I can't give the Warriors even a 50/50 chance in game 7 despite being the defending champions. They suck on the road they're old and our guys now have momentum! It won't be easy but I say advantage Kings!
Plus just one day off, this is where stamina could play to our advantage. According to Bob Fitzgerald (the Warriors announcer), the Kings won each time with one day off the games 1, 2, and 6; but lost games 3, 4, and 5 with two days off each. It looks like the Warriors' core needs more time to rest.

Not just rest, but an extra day of game planning I’m sure helps. Hard to collect data and implement changes in 24 hours

We sure showed up!

Wouldn't have been a fitting end for this team to go up 2-0 then lose 4 in a row, they demonstrated too much fight all year.

5 offensive boards for Murray!

Malik Monk destroyed them though..

We need to talk more about Malik Monk! He's SO SLIPPERY, he continues to slip past their defenders long arms and makes them look foolish, he's able to create enough separation to get his whole body between these much taller/longer defenders and ward off a clean look with the other hand.

In this game it seemed like Curry couldnt match Monk blow for blow. Monk played better.

When you look at the Warriors defense on some of these drives by Fox and Monk, lots of times the Warriors bigs will just put their hands up, Wiggins is really the only one who consistently jumps in the air to try and alter shots, Green too, sometimes.

With Fox, the threat of his floater in the midrange has them very uncomfortable, Cuz you dont want to conceede that shot to an NBA All-Star but he's slippery and you cant guard him too close because of the threat his first step presents. He too keeps discarding Warriors defenders getting past their shoulders n then turning which is creating all the separation he needs to finish thru and around contact.

No minutes for Len in this one, and I'd say we didnt need em, Trey Lyles was great for us in the 27 minutes. He's really a good player to have when teams try to go super small, uses that lower body to anchor things down in the paint n 9 boards was just what we needed.

No more 5 and 8 3pta's from Davion he only plays 11 minutes. Terence Davis wasnt spectacular but he played well I thought, lots of fans seem to knock him for his defense, I'm not a big advanced stats guy but Davis was once considered to be a good man to man defender in college, so trying him vs the smaller player in Curry might not be so bad. The offensive rebound he saved by hustle was clutch, he's more likely to catch fire from deep than Davion too. Will be interesting to see how Davis gets used in game 7.

Redemption game for the Kings and certainly for Kevin Huerter, he's trying so damn hard ya cant take that away from him, you can see he's really trying to play well in every aspect of his game cuz hes pressing over the missed 3's, the 3's came though, good sign.

Sabonis, far from his A game still missing too many shots and turning the ball over too much, but his work on the boards was crucial. Felt like a solid B game for him even with the shortcomings and having a mean elbow dropped on his face.

Only 15 minutes from Barnes but he made a 3 hopefully that gets him right, I'd think he'll play much more than that in game 7, hopefully thats when he has his redemption game.

I can’t imagine there have been many game seven underdogs at home.

I'm a Memphis Grizzlies fan who knows nothing about the city of Sacramento, has never been there, and has no personal interest in the Kings one way or the other. That said, I'm stopping by here (may never post here again) just to say I've enjoyed watching your team this season and especially in this series against Golden State. I didn't take the Kings seriously initially, but they've proven they are the real deal. My Grizzlies embarrassed themselves against the Lakers and hopefully will use it as a learning moment. We have some championship caliber talent but need a lot more maturity and discipline that hopefully will come with time. Your team, meanwhile, has offered a stark contrast of a team that did it the right way and isn't wilting in the spotlight. Best of luck -- anybody who beats the Warriors is a friend in my book. I hope to see a more mature version of the Grizzlies play this Kings teams in a series in the future.

Welcome! Given our very long playoff drought, I think all Kings fans would be pretty happy to be playing the Grizzlies (or anyone else for that matter) in the playoffs in future years as well! Our fanbase is so PTSD about 16 seasons of ineptitude (most years, anyways).

The funny part is, even though these 2 teams are only 90 miles apart (Sacramento and Golden State), they have never been in the playoffs at the same time since the Kings moved here in 1985. So this is the first time we have ever played our closest rivals (geographically) in the postseason and the series has been fantastic from a sports fan point of view. Glad you are enjoying it as well.

Despite the win, nobody talk about how terrible Sabonis is in the entire series. He needs to get his act together and play with better confident. Not only didn't he play bully ball like he normally did inside the paint...but he loses ball for no reason...turning over the ball. I understand he helps with the offensive rebound...but that's something we EXPECT of him as one of the factors when he's out there....no one expect him to be a non-factor as an offensive scorer in the paint. He keeps missing easy buckets and I think that's due to lack of confident. He needs to assert his bully tactics like he did in the regular season. I am not saying he should start bulling Green or Looney...I am saying there are times, where Wiggins or Thompson were on him but he chooses to pass out of the paint rather than taking advantage of their lack of strength. The fact that he pass it shows lack of confident. I never EVER expect Sabonis to rattle in ANY TIME....but I seen him rattle in the last couple games. He needs to get himself together for the benefit of this team. Let's be clear, the Kings need everyone to play well. But it doesn't help if one of your best players is being rattled inside the paint.

People are definitely talking about it. But on the other hand, he’s getting absolutely banged and abused this series with limited whistles. Dude’s probably struggling physically more than mentally rn.

And, there is even less recovery/prep time because tipoff tomorrow is at 12:30 PM instead of 7:00 PM.
