How about the Kings just win it all? The team will likely still not get respect because of the small market aspect, but at least it would be an "in your face" moment.
An eighth seed with a two-game lead over the ninth seed is slightly better than "clinging." They're closer to the second seed than they are to the eleventh seed.... The Kings are 5-5 in their last 10 and are clinging to the last spot of a play-in spot, not a playoff spot...

Nope. I'm not going to join in on the hoopla. Of course, I liked the performance of Fox in the 4th against Denver. And I really liked the overall gutsy performance of the team battling on the 2nd night of a back to back, in oxygen-deprived Denver no less. Given the terrible history of this team in back-to-back games, it's a great about-face. But keep it real. Denver didn't have two of their main guys. The Kings are 5-5 in their last 10 and are clinging to the last spot of a play-in spot, not a playoff spot. Have they slipped because of the greatness of Fox? Hardly. He's been up and down like a kangaroo. It's all about defense and consistency with Fox, and both are measured not in one game, but over many games. I'm looking forward to after the All Star break. Let's see how the next 10 games go, then the next 10, and so forth. If Fox shows consistency one would expect from a star point guard, I'll be crowing like everyone else.
The bar is only "lowered" in the sense that it's only in the last four years that the eighth seed isn't a guaranteed playoff spot. And this is the first year of the play-in era that there are four teams in the same conference in the play-in race that are all above .500. That's the only reason why there's an "argument" to be had; the possibility of a team finishing eight games above .500 and missing the playoffs is literally unprecedented.Semantics. We'll see if they are "clinging," "hanging", "awesomely entrenched," or "guaranteed" a play-in spot in the next 20 games or so. Frankly, it's a little disappointing we should be having an argument about how secure this team is for a play-in spot at this juncture of the season. I was hoping the topic would be centered around the security of a play-off spot. The bar seems to have been lowered.
I am reminded of a clip they love to play on the LeBatard show about some townie who calls into an Atlanta radio show and calls the host a homer, and the host loses his mind: "DON'T YOU EVER CALL ME A HOMER! I'M THE FURTHEST THING FROM A HOMER!" And I'm just like, why would a guy who does a local radio show take offense at being called a homer? To me, for fans, it's like that, but times a thousand.Since when is supporting your team considered "hoopla"? This is Kingsfans.com isn't it? Did I stumble into the Inside the NBA forum by mistake?

Predicting wins and losses strikes me as an exercise best left to degenerate gamblers, and people who have a fetish for being "right."Can the Kings win their next 10 games in a row? Sure. They've already beaten a lot of elite teams this season. Will they? I hope so. What else is there? Predicting wins or losses isn't going to change the outcome so naturally I'm going to hope for the best and celebrate every win.

I'm just as much a Kings' fan as you and I'll use "hoopla" if I so choose. If you and Citrus like to chew on small potatoes
("clinging" and "hoopla"), chow down.
Oh how I've missed post All Star break Fox
Fox should have been an All-Star tbh
Fox is the perfect PG: defense, 3’s, mid range, close range. He has it all.
Comments from our guys over at the Spurstalk forum:
Does it make him generational since that’s just casually being tossed around?!?!?!Comments from our guys over at the Spurstalk forum:
Fox regaining his mid and close range powers just in time for the home stretch. Love to see it! I’m also not mad that we have one of the toughest schedules ahead. I think this team responds better to that anyhow, and it’s a great test for post season play. If they’re a good team like i believe they are, this is the best time to show it.
Fox has "a left knee contusion" and "is listed as questionable" against the Denver Nuggets tonight. Those bruises can really swell up in the hours after a game.

Dang
Anybody want to bet against him playing?
If he does sit out, it will likely be due the org making that decision for him.
