You guys really want Artest ???

G-League
After tonight do we want to put an end to the Peja-Artest trade idea ??

Don't get me wrong, Detroit fans were disgraceful.

But you just don't jump into the stands and deck someone because he tossed a drink (and actually it looked to me like the guy he hit still had his drink in hand, so he may not have tossed it).

What he did today has nothing to do with the trade. All we care about is what he does on the court. He is human and I wouldnt like beer in my eyes...

Agreed, but as I said before, there is a point to being a PROFESSIONAL which says you don't jump into the stands like an idiot.

No one in their right mind would trade any player of value for Artest now. I suspect Indy will let him walk when his contract expires.

I don't know, but Artest seems to be a couple beers shy of a six-pack. He doesn't seem like the type of player that would fit in well with the Kings. From what I've seen so far, and believe me, I'm still a new NBA fan, the guys that play for Sacramento appear to be very professional and not ones to makes idiots out of themselves.

Hey guys i RESPECT RON ARTEST!!! and i would do the TRADE! iam a SERB just like peja but i know if itwas peja laying on bench he would have done nothing he's personality is so not serb and i want Artest!a fighter who doesn't take crap! and yet he is a very good player!

hell yeah we want artest.... not just because of the way he fights fans, but because of the way that our team has been playing. not getting rebounds and not playing defense, artest and jones for peja, and bring doug off of the bench to keep bobby in check.

That is pure crap!

Players do NOT go into the stands and fans should NOT throw things at the players. Somewhere, Dr. James Naismith is crying and I don't blame him.

There's nothing to respect Artest for.

i agree with you on a part its very unprofessional put try to put yourself in Ron Artest shoes he got hit pretty good by Ben Wallace and walked away.. yet all that emotion rose up agian when
when the players were all in the hundle he goes away and lays down and fans throw drinks at him in those situation you just lose it easey for us to say "calm down that was wrong" even the ESPN Crew guys agree that ron was in self defense and running high on emetion, (but everyone lost it including O'neal and jackson) but in mine opinion the Fans were responisble.

Make all the excuses and rationalizations for Artest that you like but I think you make my point FOR me perfectly. Artest did his very best to keep his cool and well up to the point he got hit by the fan, then he goes into the stands and starts a friggin riot. Now he will be LUCKY to only get a 10 game suspension and is likely out for the year. If you honestly want Artest after this then you are asking for a guy that took him self out of 2 consecutive paly offs then may well have just trashe his team for the next 5-10 games AMD took him self out for the year. That is what you are asking for?

Players DO NOT go into the stands and attack the fans. Period. Fans DO NOT go on the court and attack the players. Period.

Artest put himself in harm's way by sprawling on the scorer's table. Granted, the fans most definitely should not have thrown things but Artest should have been immediately removed from the table and sent back to his bench. Rick Carlisle, knowing how mercurial Artest is, should have made sure he knew where his player was.

At the point when Artest was drenched with the beer/soda/whatever, it was already too late.

As far as fans throwing things, that could be conceived as assault.

as i said i agree with you if it was any other player i understand..but it was artest his perosnality his ego you could have known there was no way artest would back out of it.. but i give him little probes he tried to control himself didn't work out if i was a pacer fan i would support ron butat the same time that stupid act is gonna cost his team games! somtimes you have to control your emotions even for a guy like Artest

and oh yeah #91 trying to be rodman somtimes i think he is acting and somtimes i think he is plian crazy still not taking anything away from his backetball skills.

First of all, stop being too much of a peja homer. Artest is actually alot better ball player than peja is right now. Peja is just too streaky, cant dunk, not a very good defender, and most importantly, doesnt rebound well enough for someone his height. I love a player with more than one quality like artest instead of a one dimensional player like peja.

2nd, If peja did foul someone that hard (which I know he won't since he a very soft player) and than a player like ben wallace shoves peja in the face, peja would run into the locker room and cry instead of trying to defend himself.

If Artest didnt have all these problems, I would make the trade in a sec. Artest is just too good on defense and plays a solid offense. Hes just what the kings need, a tough player that wont cry to the refs, but instead intimidate the hell out of whoever hes guarding.

peja for artest..... kings 2006 nba champions, 2006 only because artest wont finish this season. i hope that he does, but man is this pacer team screwed, loyal and fearless, but screwed.

My God!!!!

Artest Is What We Need!!!!!!!!!!
Why? So we can start Matt Barnes in the playoffs when Artest goes off his nut and gets suspended?

I think that Artest is a great player, and might even entertain the argument that he's better than Stojakovic, but boy, am I glad he's not on my team!

JELI PISKI odaklesi brate?

I love Artest's game, but can't y'all see he is a liability?

Playing with passion and emotion is great but he is a hothead who loses control and hurts his team.

Basiclaly, you can't rely on him at all. You don't know what to expect from one minute to the next. And what's more, oppoonents know this and push his buttons to get him ejected/suspended and then you're minus a starter-- and it works-- even in the playoffs.

Deep down, I suspect Artest's career is headed for a tragic early finish. He just keeps instigating one incident after another, and he's getting worse, not better.

I think most people understand that. I would not do the trade of course since RON has more problems than the kings can handle. But I want to let other people understand that if Artest would set himself straight and play like a any regular player, than I would drive peja to indiana myself and get ron in the car back to Sac free of charge. ARTEST >>>>>>>>>>> PEJA by a longshot.

first of all as thogh ARTEST IS he did not do anything agianst WALLACE he back off wonder if it was Tashuan prince i bet artest would have knocked him out but was ben wallace secondly,A FACT is that peja would never get into a situation like that that's his personality and TRUST ME AS A SERB it hurts me see peja how he dunks and how he is afraid under the basket he is 6-10 MESS HIM UP! but then agian peja is not Vlade vlade is a emotional guy peja is not somtimes i do ask my self if peja is castraded the way he attacks the basket, but then agian that is his personality he will never be a player that dunks rebounds and gets into brawl. Peja is best shooter he shoots and scores thats what he does. (you will see thebest of peja yet to come be patient)

Word. I was about 50/50 on the issue this summer when the rumor was going around. But right now Artest is just out of control. Maybe he'll outgrow it, but I think he needs psychiatric help, and soon. Glad Petrie didn't pull the trigger.
