Anyone here getting an Xbox 360 or PS3. My bro and I pre-ordered 360, and should be getting it on the 22nd. Will prolly pick up Nba Live 2006 "Next Gen" that day too, so I can start my Championship run with the Kings.
captain bill said:360 should be good, but it is way, way, way overpriced right now, especially considering that you will probably have to buy a bundle with games that aren't very good. Also- make sure you buy the top quality one, with the good hard drive included, so that you can use all the features on it.
Personally, I'm gonna hold off on buying one until the price goes down, or just hedge my bets on some of my friends or housemates buying one for me to play on.

Bingo. There's always something wrong with the first generation of systems. Overheating for disc-based consoles has been the common problem dating back as far as Turbo Grafx's Turbo Duo I believe. Recently someone filed a class-action lawsuit against Microsoft due to X-Box 360's overheating. Unless you view it as some sort of necessary status symbol, why not wait a little while until the kinks get worked out?KiNgMyC said:I never reccomend buying consoles on luanch days or a few months after that. From personal experience, the ones I bought were all bugged and glitchy.
That is what it is about. If you don't have the right franchises, you won't last.GoGoGadget said:I'm planning on getting the PS3, but probably not right away.
XBox 360 looks impressive, but I like the game selection for Sony better. Been tempted several times to go out and pick up the current gen XBox or Gamecube, but there are very seldom games that I'm interested in that don't eventually end up on the PS2.

Despite Nintendo being below par these past two systems, they have the right franchise players to keep them going: Mario, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, etc. Playstation: Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry etc.

The controller is the "Revolution."Bballkingsrock said:PLus, the thing makes it REALLy intriging is they said te cost AT THE MOST, is $150 but they might make it $100 (which i doubt) so that is REALLY good price!

Nintendo said there is one more secret they are holding back.
