Worst Kings player ever

Ostertag. I like him as a person but he was the fattest, laziest, and slowest King of all-time.

LOL R O F L

That cracked me up Walker

Did you know Big O?

Cause if we are saying as a person I have a problem with a guy of his size walking around in SPEEDO'S

Steve Colter- he might not have been the worst player ever, but I guarantee you that he had the highest airball/field goal attempt average ever...

Anthony Peeler.

He may not have been the worst, but his actions against Minnesota were without a doubt the dumbest...

Obviously I am alone in my opinion but Scot just seemed to interupt the flow whenever he came in and it always annoyed me

cmon Anthony Peeler? He led the league in 3PT% the year he was with us. This isn't Kings stupidest player thread...

put in another vote for Ostertag.

Okay, if I can't pick Peeler for being dumb, then I'll go back quite a ways and pick Joe Kleine...

Probably not as much when he was playing in Sac its true (never in person). Maybe it was just when I was watching. But whenever I have seen him since he left, it seems the same, although I have only watched him against the Kings.

I'll go with Peeler and Ostertag as well. I saw them play plenty!

Gotta be Pervis...what a waste.
The thing is that it was a crappy draft. I'm a huge UofA fan and was heartbroken that they didn't draft Elliot, but he didn't exactly set the league on fire either. It was just a bad draft.

I'm still standing by my original pick of Schintzius, because that's a guy that had a pretty decent NBA career with no skillset whatsoever and who couldn't blame injuries on suckiness like Pervis or Ralph Sampson. But every year a new team thought they could take advantage of his size and everything else didn't matter. Plus as someone else pointed out he had a horrible hair cut which puts him above the Greg Kites and Pete Chilcutts that came in every season.

It was only one year, but what about Greg Kite?

There was the "Les is less" year back in 92 when Les Jepsen was taking up space and Jim Les was running around the arc jacking up threes.

In terms of busts there was Out of Service Pervis and Joe "We could have had Karl Malone" Kleine.

But for me it comes down to the Duh brothers. There was Duh-ane Causewell who really did look completely confused at all times and there was Duh-wayne Schintzius who, during the 92-93 season, added up to 14 feet worth of the crappiest center tandem I can recall.

But I have to give the nod to Schintzius not just for his awful play, but for his spectacularly bad mullet. Check this out:

Believe it or not, Kite might have been white, slow and awkward, but he played hard, started for awhile during the Sampson Years, and actually could rebound decent and block a few shots. I think Les Jepsen was WAYYYY more disgusting to watch on the court than Greg. Schintzius had the best mullett of all time, I think...remember the Sports Illustrated article?? 4 pages about good ole' Duane...wow. He looked alot like country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.:D

Causwell was the most prolific dunker in the NBA during his time with the Kings, wasn't he? I loved that stat. We had a lot worse centers in town before and after his stint. Plus he played 11 seasons with only 2 teams which I think is a point or two for him.

Can't beleive Randy Allen hasn't been thrown in this mix... granted he started for us for a while but the guy was a 6 foot 7 center, and he wasn't exactly known for his leaping ability.

Joe Kliene sadly is a minor celebrity in the city I live in and is a guest on the radio station all the time ><. Every time I hear him all I can think is .. Karl Malone.

Well, never fear, I was going to vote for him....... maybe worst isn't the right category for him though, perhaps Most Despised?

To be fair, OP did choke RE Graswich, so he couldn't be all bad.

(For the record, I've actually grown to like RE now that he's a gossip columnist and not a sports columnist.)

I disagree. If Garnett would have hit him back, KG would have been suspended in Game 7 and we would have won that series. I see it as a genius move to try to take the other team's superstar out of the series. ;)

I'm honestly not sure whether I'm joking or not...

Good point!

You're much more forgiving than I... I still despite the way he takes cheap shots at the Kings, the Maloofs and the arena situation. You can almost see him gleefully clapping his hands and cackling as he types up another little jab...

I know I posted mine earlier, but I could also make a case for Billy Owens, based on his potential, but of course he did get us the Mitch for his hayday years.

I actually thought he deserved an honorable mention of some sort, if only for his initial bad attitude and refusal to sign with us and then unspectacular career. I remember getting a chuckle when he finally had to come and play in Sac but he sure sucked. Not as bad as the parade of centers we ushered in, but certainly in terms of waste of potential.
