Well, at least Doris Burke gives major props to the Monarchs' draft choices!

Especially, the part where she said:
...The question after that was what did you need? I think the team that really did well, and you wondered what kind of value they could get late in this draft, was Sacramento, which got exactly what it needed. Kim Smith is a very good basketball player. Played in a motion offense, understands systems, unselfish and can shoot the ball, which is exactly what coach John Whisenant likes. Scholanda Hoston, was just a great selection. Everything they lost in Chelsea Houston, except maybe a little bit of toughness, Scholanda has. She's longer and a better athlete, and shoots the deep ball a little bit more.


"Chelsea Houston"? I guess she meant to say Chelsea Newton! :)
 
I watched the replay of the draft on my TiVo later that night, actually I just watched the talking heads talk in during the lead-up and following our draft picks. Burke nailed our picks and the reasons for them. Lieberman and Meyers were being their usual out of touch selves.
