So tell me forum, will Lebron go to a new team? Post your intresting or creative comments in comment section BEEELLOOWW... I hope he goes down to Miami with Bosh, and Dwade. That team would be the new big 3. The team would be so stacked though. Also, who doesnt want to be in a beautiful city?

No I'm cool I voted Miami. It just seems that ESPN and everyone else is hyping up Chicago and figured it would be a popular option, wasn't trying to be a pain :)

LeBron James: Cleveland has 'edge' to keep me

http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/06/01/lebron.james.lkl/index.html?hpt=C2

(CNN) -- Two-time NBA MVP LeBron James says the Cleveland Cavaliers -- his only club in his seven pro seasons -- will have an "edge" when they try to keep the likely free-agent-to-be from leaving this summer.
In an interview scheduled to air on CNN Friday night, Larry King asked James whether the Cavaliers have an edge to retain the Ohio native.
"Absolutely," James said. "Because ... this city, these fans, I mean, have given me a lot in these seven years. And, you know, for me, it's comfortable.
"So, I've got a lot of memories here. And so it does have an edge."
James' potential freedom -- he can opt out of the last year of his contract and become a free agent on July 1 -- is one of the most talked about issues in the world of sports this year. Sports Illustrated's website has a "LeBron James Watch" blog, ESPN.com has a "LeBron Tracker" page devoted to his next move, and the Cleveland Plain Dealer's site has a "LeBron-O-Meter" that swings with each stay-or-go rumor.
Even President Obama has weighed in, telling TNT's Marv Albert last month that James would fit in with the club that Obama pulls for, the Chicago Bulls. And the New York Daily News reported last month that Mayor Michael Bloomberg said he thinks James would love living in New York, should he choose the Knicks or the Nets.
James headlines a list of marquee names who also are free-agents-to-be or likely free agents this summer, including Miami's Dwyane Wade, Toronto's Chris Bosh, Phoenix's Amare Stoudamire, Dallas' Dirk Nowitski and Atlanta's Joe Johnson.
King asked James about reports that he, Wade, Bosh, Johnson and others were planning to talk to each other before they settled on where to go.
"I don't know to that extent, but it will be fun," James said. "It will be fun to get all the free agents together and figure out a way how we can make the league better."
The Cavaliers drafted James, 25, out of high school in 2003. He grew up in the nearby Akron, Ohio, area.
James, a six-time NBA all-star, was named the league's MVP for the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 seasons. He's averaged 27.8 points per game, and he has helped the Cavaliers to five playoff appearances and one trip to the NBA finals.
But he's still seeking his first NBA title, and the Cavaliers were bounced from the second round of this year's playoffs by the Boston Celtics. He told King his goal is to be with a team that can win more than one NBA championship.
"I understand that me going down as one of the greats will not happen until I win a championship," he said. "I'm going to do what's best for me and my family."
The interview is scheduled to be shown on CNN's "Larry King Live" at 9 p.m. ET Friday.

they sure can figure out how to make the league better by signing with there own dam teams and spreading the wealth so to speak. You have players collaborating and planning to sign together for a team and its hardly good for the league as a whole

You should add the Chicago option. If he's leaving Cleveland (which right now I still have as the slight favorites) I think he's going to Chicago.

Greed wins out.- Cleveland

With the shakeup in Cleveland's FO it's really hard to read LJ's mind. I would think the Cav's money gives them the edge over Chicago and NY.

I think LeBron makes a lot more money if he goes to New York (through endorsements and such) than if he stays in Cleveland. If cash is all he's after I would say New York would be the favorite.

I'm not sure heould amass more endorsements than he already has. He's pretty much ubiquitous as an NBA icon here in the US and abroad.

The shakeup is all about letting LeBron run the team. There was a pretty scathing article on Yahoo a few days back about how pretty much the only people standing are LBJ enablers. If whoever signs him will spoon feed him everything he wants and let his people run the show then I believe he'll never sniff an NBA title.

I don't know where he's going to go, but I would be very surprised at this point if he went back to Cleveland. They've already proven they're incapable of building a contending team around him. Of course they'll have a new coach and a new GM now, but that just means they're even further from getting it done. There's a lot of cities with greener grass right now. My top guesses would be New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets or LA Clippers but I think all those other teams in the poll are more likely than Cleveland at this point, even if Lebron said they had an edge.

Is it worth $30 million? I think that's the question at this point.

They'll also have a coach hand picked by LeBron (allegedly) and a GM who will do anything ownership hell bent on babying LeBron wants. While it's a lousy path to a championship it is a surefire boost to the man's ego and it remains to be seen what LeBron's motivation is.

Well, even if Lebron doesn't have a "New York" clause in his Nike contract he probably stands to make a lot more than $30 million in additional endorsements if he wins a couple of championships. Or put another way, if he never wins a championship he'll probably lose at least $30 million in potential endorsements over that time period. Enough to counterbalance the extra year Cleveland can offer. You can only be "the greatest" for so long before someone else takes your place. If Lebron doesn't win multiple championships than was he the greatest ever? It brings it into question at least. And surely professional pride as an athlete factors in there somewhere as well.
