Will Kings Sign Gary Payton?

Is that rumor still a reality? I guess we will find out but I still dont understand how it benefits us, if it does. Imput? I guess it would be nice to have him to help out Cat and Bibby but still... Ive thought of him as a ball hog and what not these past two years.

Just wondering if this rumor/possibility that surfaced a month ago is still a reality.

There was and still is the rumor that we are in the running with a few other teams for Gary Payton. I just dont understand what the real plan is behind a deal like this. Just looking for clarification.

This may be true, but I think it will also severely hurt your credibility on this board. It's like the "Boy Who Cried Payton" too many times. :)
 
That was not cool!!!!!!! I do not think that someone like Gary Payton is what the Kings need right now. Bibby has the point covered and I think that House is getting better and better every game. Not to say that Payton would not be better to have than House, but I think the team needs to look at some trades that would more benefit the team (Backup Center that actually Plays, SF that has desire to still play basketball).

as for the topic at hand...i dunno....GP seems to think he'll definetly be moved before the deadline..and until then he's being a good boy and citzen of the Boston area...

only time will tell
 
i think GP would be great of the bench, you know we do need some depth. a replacement for bobby while he is injured. last i heard he wants to stay in Boston, i doubt we are going to see him with the Kings.
 
this guy could be insurance if bobby does not return i dont like house he thinks he kobe bryant and hes jacking up stupid shots.gp is a vet who knows what hes doin hes a couple of good games this season

A Gary Payton thread with some confusion AND more talks of Peja trade in the mix, makes sense to me. :rolleyes:

The Celts may want to make that deal. Don't know much about Pierce, but I believe MANY teams in the NBA would take Peja and be willing to build their complete offense around him. Why Petrie would feel compelled to do that--especially with Peja's salary--is the question.

Payton is finally happy and content where he is. Why spoil a good thing...for everybody? :D
