He's not the player you build a franchise around and Theus and the team will be better off without him, partially because he's good enough to keep you hoping he'll be the player he thinks he can be. It's false hope - and we really need to move on.

All too much so. But looking out at the NBA landscape and those 6-8 upper echelon teams looking up at the top spot, what do they have the Kings can use as a roughly equivalent trade? RonRon's big thing is shut-down defense and the ability to score from most areas, in a crowd down low , mid-range and 3's. So the only way to get something roughly equivalent is to get a John Salmon's type. Hey, wait a minute!!! We already have Salmons! Well then, a scoring, running shooter-scorer who gets 10-14 a night and can go for 30 if necessary but a bench guy and a draft pick.

Unfortunately, the only team that appears to have multiple picks in 2009 is Minnesota who have 3 or 4 first round picks. So, multi-team trade is most likely. But what 3-spot player who is starter, or a bench guy + 1st rounder, match salay wise? Kings are fresh out of roster spots if a couple of the rookies pan out. So who then makes sense, east or west??

Rashard Lewis....anyone? He is a peice of $()^T like William, perfect trade. They have Hedo to take over Rashards softness, and Howard is getting frusterated with soft team mates. I know this. The magic will be making a move for more power, and Artest fits perfectly with hedo. I think we have to give them Douby too. and switch second rounders

Ha! Ha! Ha! That's a good one! Could happen, too! Nice! Having Ron on a team is always been like Russian Roulette... you just never know when trading for him will blow up in your face. I am gonna refer to him as Russian Roulette Ron for now on.
