Will Adleman.....

Gunny

Prospect
:) What do you all think? Will he keep the lineup the same coming down the stretch or will he bring K9 off the bench and start Bonzi (as he did when Webber came back from injury and blew he season)

KINGS WILL KICK SOME LA BUTT:)

In one of the other threads, Adelman was quoted as saying something to the effect of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I think he's going to go with what's working as long as it keeps working. Bonzi and SAR will come off the bench, and Martin and Thomas will continue to start.

Adelman will do what works, as he has been doing. Bonzi's a big part of our team, but he's not Webber... the team doesn't necessarily depend on him for success. Therefore, I'm confident Adelman will keep the lineup the same until Bonzi and SAR get back into shape.

the webber blowing the season comment was unnecessary...... ;) but i think he said he wouldnt fix something that isnt broken

I don't know about you guys, but I love SAR and Bonzi coming off the bench. Suddenly, I'm not afraid of what happens when someone comes off the bench like I was when the likes of Jason Hart was. With SAR, you have a consistent scorer (when he gets healthy) off the bench, which we didn't have with Thomas/Hart/Whoever else was coming off the bench early in the season. Thomas as a starter is acting like a roleplayer anyway. He doesn't really score and when he does, they're just open jump shots or garbage collector points. SAR has been doing pretty good off the bench and I don't want to see that change.

Wouldn't mind seeing Bonzi start... but like Adelman said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I don't see it changing so long as we keep on winning. And its not a shape thing. Reef is long since back in fighting trim, and Bonzi has been playing like it. Only way I see us seitching things up before the end of the season is if we either fall off of this hot streak, or if somebody gets hurt. Otherwise its working well at the moment, and Rick is notoriously slow to make changes when something is working.

i love how noone is complaining about playing time. This is how a team should work. And can some body agree with me on this one, that it is the greatest feeling in ur heart to turn on a kings game mid way through and see that they are up by 5 or 6 points rather than being crushed like before? huh? its nice.

There shouldn't be too much complaining about minutes when it's a 7 man rotation, other than those not IN the rotation. There are plenty of minutes in a game for just 7 people.

I think for almost any team and most players the "W's" always minimize most of the complaining.

PS: Don't forge that it's a 7 man rotation only until Garcia is back, then I'm pretty sure that it will be 8.

Exactly what I was thinking. A seven man rotation, and once Garcia comes back, they will cut Bibby's minutes back a little more. There iss plenty of room for everyone. Although sometimes I feel bad watching Vitaly and Monia sitting on the bench all game. But I can't complain, Adelman has got this team in playoff rotation, let's just hope nobody breaks down.

A huge plus that I don't think many have mentioned, is that having vets come off the bench as opposed to rookies is a huge advantage simply because when a team is losing, and the rookies come in, they often panick and don't know what to do. While guys like Bonzi and Reef are veteran players and know how to keep their composure. Also, Reef is SO much better off the bench than K-9 because Reef can create his own shot, while Kenny can't. And with Bibby and Artest off the floor, offense is tough to find so a 1on1 player is definitely nessecary.

that almost qualifies him for the FEMA jub. Just in case that we don't resign him

Looks like Reef and Bonzi will stay on the bench. They both can and have been very productive form the bench, and most importantly they provide flexality for RA. Reef can come in for streachs and play the 4 and the 5. Bonzi the 2 & 3. And with Artest, Kevin, Miller and Bonzi on court they can play with out Bibby... this rotation is working great... don't mess with it!

It feels really good watching these games knowing that the bench guys are every bit as good as the starters. The opponents get tired of running around with Kevin and Kenny, only to face Bonzi and Rahim. This is great! Come back Cisco, Bibby needs the rest.

Maybe I'm stating the obvious here, but why would you make changes when something is working. When it's not working is when you start mixing and matching more....

Or am I missing something here?
