Who will overpay Josh Childress?

I always liked Childress' game, but his demand for $$ got him signed up in Europe... now, the mad funds are back in the NBA, but who will sign him? There are a lot of rumors about him going to the Wizards, but with so many teams that cleared the cap space to sign two max free agents, there is a lot of $$ to be had in Chicago, LA Clip, New York, and New Jersey... of course, ATL, after signing Joe Johnson will be unable to match much of an offer.

Think he will return? Where will he end up? I truly believe it will be a 100% cash decision for Childress and he will end up on whichever team offers him the most; I doubt that would be Chicago or the Wizards... so where will he fall? Will he stay in Greece?

Don't the Hawks still have his Bird rights? Wouldn't it be more of a question of "would they" than "can they?"

Josh Childress is probably a MLE type player. Remember his last year in the league he was right up there with Kevin Martin in true shooting percentage along with being a much better defender. If I thought he could play SG full time he would actually be a pretty good signing for us, but I don't know if he can. He's not even an average ball handler.

He's much more small forward than shooting guard, if I remember correctly. Not a great shooter from three, but adequate. Good length at either position. I wouldn't mind having him, but I don't think we really need him. I'd rather go with Donte and Omri.
