I don't know how you guys let 1 game determine who is the leader. Obviously Bibby has had the longest venture on this team and should clearly be the leader. Remember Ron could blow up anytime soon when we start losing games and instead of helping the team he will just demand for a trade so I say give it some time and than see who the leader is.

ron come here cause the kings needed a leader and they wernt getting it from im too scrared to shoot peja. he came here cause he wanted his own team and didnt want to share it with JO in indiana anymore. he has the determination and the heart to take over a gamer and win. his got the street cred, the D, the work ethic the lot. the kings couldnt have gotten a better leader

I don't know if anybody has mentioned this, and perhaps it was because Bibby was not hitting... But in the Denver game, when they started the Artest Wells two man game, Bibby did not look too happy about it. Here's where it gets a little shaky. Artest is going to want the ball when the game is gettin close, but Bibby is and has been the man all season, and I would like him to continue to be. I see a more locking of horns there, than as a leadership role.

Why don't they just get the open shot? I mean after all, four of our guys are clutch: Bibby, Bonzi, Artest, AND Brad. If you have multiple players that can be clutch the opponent has to play you honest, like in that one SA game Bibby took a 3 over a double team. They should just find the best shot IMO, since we have 4 guys who can hit it.

JS has my vote.

but actually i go for artest. bibby as a leader as we've seen is not very successful. artest so far shows some hope. i love seeing him pull together the team and get them talking. making sure he is on the same page as everyone. bibby is a great scorer but i wouldnt put him as our team leader anymore. artest just has that dont eff with me or my team attitude that a leader needs to have

i think bibby understands that artest is the boss of this team just like webber was. he will work with artest and they friends anyway so they will play good togehter. once they start winning bibby will see that artest is the main go to guy and will be grateful that he can be on a championship caliber team

Agreed.

I have been thinking about this for a little while. I have come to a couple conclusions.

1. Just because a team losses, does not mean they have a bad leader. I think that Bibby has done a better job that I have been giving him credit for this season. It has been my main compaint (other than defense). We may not see/ her him leading, but that does not mean that it was not happening. I would be more incline to stay on the "He's a bad leader opinion, if we had strated to fall apart as a team and turn on each other as the losses grew.

2. There is difference between on court and locker room leadership but both are equally important. Look at "The Team." Webb was clearly the leader on the court, but who could argue that Vlade was the leader off court? I have no problems with Artest being an game leader. He did a great job running the show the other night. I would feel MUCH better if the guy with a little bit more even temperment was leading the group in the locker room. BOTH ARE IMPORTANT ROLES ON THE TEAM.

Just my 2 cents!

bibby is still the leader.. IMO ron-ron is still in the honey moon stage, trying to impress and win the hearts of the fans... i just hope he sustains his good attitude for the rest of his kings career..

Honestly, I don't think this team actually has a leader.

You can say Bibby, but I think he's the leading scorer - not so much a leader. I could be wrong, but I just don't see him doing anything to front his leadership.

A leader accepts and places blame with himself. A leader coaches on the floor. A leader provides inspiration for the rest of the team. A leader leads by example with smart choices.

I just don't see anyone on our team doing that. It seems like a free-for-all more than anything else.

Just my take.

Not to be a downer, but Brad is shooting sub 25% in the "clutch" this season.

It would seem our clutch players are:

Bonzi, Artest, Reef, Thomas, Bibby.

You forgot to mention street creed :D

Bibby is not articulate enough to be a true leader. He's the best we have at the moment.

I think we're all hoping for a Webber like reformation of RonRon. If that happens he'll become the on court leader.

Stay in school.

Artest can only be an influence, but not the leader (at least not yet). No way should we crown him the leader after three games. Only tenured players can prove them selves leaders at this point (and Bibby gets a nod over Miller there). Any newcomers need at least a season to prove that they can lead.

I say we wait and see.

Remember the LA game? Brad for 3!
