Same story in Phoenix as always -- run, gun, have fun, play small ball, out in rnd 2.
I voted Kings, homerism and all that, but with justification.
Can the Suns play in a half- court set? That is something that is essential during the playoffs, the ablility to play a slow tempo game and execute. It is something that we have really developed over the years and and we execute it well. Also can they play defense, (Kings might not play a lick of defense in the regular season but during a playoffs we step it up a few notches.)
Spurs aren't that great. Tim Duncan is great but Manu and Parker are inconsistant. The Spurs can't hit free throws and have a tendendency to collapse at the end of games or at critical times (much like we use to a few years ago)
T-Wolves- Don't count these guys out yet. They are struggling as of late but if the can remain healthy (a big 'IF"), they can compete with any team (just ask the Kings). Sprewell is as incosistent as ever and Cassell seems to be injured a great deal. What it comes to for them, which is very similar to the Kings is "Health" If the Kings don't win it all, I think the Wolves are next in line.
Sonics- I really haven't watched any Sonics games to comment on them. They are a run -n-gun, uptempo team as well, but can they play a half court, slow tempo game as well? Can they play defense?
Miami- Anytime you have Shaq on your team, you are considered a favorite to contend. They lack the playoff experience to get out of the first round, if you ask me, but Shaq will help them get to the ECSF or even ECF but they will get man handled by Detroit.
Detroit- Struggling till this juncture in the season, but they are the best "team" in the East. I think they will be in the Finals again, but this time a round a Western Conference Power will take the title (along with those ridiculous belts).
Indy- I'm unsure as to how they will place, in light of all the suspensions and appeals. Losing a player like Artest makes t very tough but I think they can make it the second round.
