A lot of the time they have players mocked to go within 2 to 3 spots of where they wind up. I didn't say they were perfect or spot on or always right or that they never got anyone wrong. I said "fairly accurate".

Nbadraft.net has Bates-Diop going with the pick after ours. They're usually fairly accurate so fingers crossed he drops to us. Could be a good rotational stretch 4.

Id like to move up with a future 2nd to get Diop.

He wont be and he'd be crazy to return to school. I actually thought he was 1st rd worthy last year as a one and done. It's a dream scenario.

This question / thread really hinges on what happens in the first rd and also who stays and who goes in the draft.

If its Doncic I would be interested in Mo Wagner to further the 3 point firepower in the coming seasons. I think Doncic could fill in at backup point A combo guard like Shake Milton Elie Okobo or Tony Carr would still be nice though.

If anfernee simons or Mitchell robinson falls, its unlikely but too good to be true and they must pounce at the opportunity.

If the pick is a big the 2nd rd pick will be a wing, Jacob Evans is only 6'6 but could be a nice spark. Kris Wilkes from UCLA is a development project with nice upside they could stash in the g league for a year and save a spot on the roster with. Keita Bates Diop would be nice value at 36 and can contribute from day 1.


There's also the curious case of Rodions Kurucs who could have great upside for that type of pick and seems like a possible match with this roster.

I like Mo Wagner a lot in general because he'd be a good floor spacer. This team desperately needs more shooters, especially around Fox. This is the problem you run into with a PG who struggles to shoot. In today's NBA, you'd want at least 3 shooters on a team, but preferably 4. Fox and Giles/WCS already takes up that 2 non-shooting role. Kings need a floor stretching 4.

I liked Kurucs last year, but his lack of development this year has really turned me off. It was a mistake for him to pull out of last year's draft, and I'm sure he regrets it. However, I'd be ok with rolling the dice at #37 as long as our #2 pick isn't a wing.

I'm also looking for backup PGs with that pick too. I'm not the biggest fan of Frank Mason, and I think he'll need to earn his roster spot this year. Wasn't impressed with his game as a rookie, but I know he'll improve in year 2. Still, I think we need to give him competition.

I wouldn't mind them using this pick to nab a potential back up PG. It would give Frank The Tank some healthy comp.

It's cuz he's seen as not a pure SF or a great athlete, buta forward tweener. He's extremely polished and is one of the more ready players in the draft. kings could use him next szn at SF.

I want to see Metu improve on his 3pt shot. He's an improved shooter, but I think he still has ways to go before he can be a consistent 3pt shooter. Kings desperately need a stretch 4, and if they feel like Metu can become it, I'd be fine with drafting him.

Unlike Skal, Metu plays physical. He has dirty in him..which I don't like, but he's more aggressive than Skal on either end. Skal needs to show some serious growth this year.

KK and ZBo are on the last year of their contracts. After this year, we will have a big hole at backup center, with only Giles/WCS/Skal under contract past next year.

He gets his nose dirty on plays and is constantly around the action. I think for a second round pick, he will definitely be a solid bench big.

I kind of have a hard time believing that Vanderbilt will fall all the way to 36 - he stayed in the draft for a reason, and I don't think it was to go high second round. That said, if by some magic he is there, TAKE HIM. DO NOT PASS GO. DO NOT COLLECT $200. TAKE JARRED VANDERBILT AT #36.

Jarred Vanderbilt's skillset is tailor made to platoon with Justin Jackson at the 3 and he can play some 4 too. He's got fatastic ball skills and passing ability for a 6'9 ball-hawk, if they go big with the 1st pick he makes even more sense. I'm all for it, hope his medicals are clean, i think eventually he can shoot it too. Reminds me of Al Farouq Aminu.

I'd rather draft a big man or SF rather than another SG. Both will be positional needs.

However, if Okogie or Robinson can fulfill the backup SG slot(at a high level), then it would allow us to cash out on Bogdan or Buddy for a high asset which I'm open to.

That's a good idea. Caboclo did not show enough for a big league contract, but a 2 way contract would be nice way to see if Bruno could eventually develop.

all for it, he's super young too. If it turns out his game is too gimmicky for the NBA, he'll still be entertaining to watch. He's got a chance though, i like how low he keeps his dribble and hisvision. Just needs a J.
