Who do you want at #7? And who will slide?

Would anybody consider taking Jon Diebler @ 60? I think the Kings will trade that pick or pick a Euro-Stash, but Diebler is an amazing 3pt specialist. Obviously, he will probably go undrafted and the Kings could invite him to camp, which he might be interested in because the Kings do need shooters.
Not really, he's a good shooter but he doesn't do anything else well enough to get on the court. I don't think he'll have an NBA career, but I guess you never know.

Williams, ideally. Then Knight or Kemba. If those two guys aren't available, then it's Jan, Leonard, or Trade. I'll stick my neck out: I think Jimmer falls past the #7 slot and goes to #12 or below. Burks could also slide; it's hard to sell a protypical 2-guard who can't shoot outside.

I want Kemba but if he isn't there then I'll be content with taking Burks. I think one or two of the Euro prospects will drop, especially Biyomobo. I can see Tristan Thompson dropping a bit too.

First Round:
Happy: Kanter, Knight, Fredette, maybe even Vesely
Unhappy: Walker, Klay Thompson
Sliders: Valanciunas (contract), Motiejunas (not a good camp)

Second Round:
Happy/Sliders?: Marshon Brooks, Selby (ha!), N. Smith, anyone who totally slid out of the first like Whiteside
Unhappy: Tyler - maybe he's learned his lesson, but I don't want a kid who left high school after his Junior year.
It won't happen, but if Marshon Brooks slid to us in the second round, I happily give up your first born as payment to the gods. Brooks is one of those guys that I think three years from now, people will wonder why he wasn't a top five pick.

This is the first draft in five years that I didn't have a pretty good idea who the Kings would end up with. That said, these are my choices. And I tried to pick players that I thought we had at least a small chance of drafting.

1. Brandon Knight: Not likely he'll be there at 7, but its possible.
2. Kawhi Leonard: He's a winner, and he fills our need at Sf.
3. Jimmer Fredette: I think he'll be a good PG, and would be a nice compliment to Evans because of his shooting ability
4. Kemba Walker: Another winner, who could end up being one of the most exciting players in the league.
5. Chris Singleton: Simply because he's the best defender in the entire draft. And because I really like him.
6. Alec Burks: Because of potential alone. He's been called the next Wade. He reminds me more of a Jordan when he came out of college. Not as good!
7. Klay Thompson: Probably the second best shooter in the draft. High basketball IQ. He could end up being better than Burks. Not as athletic though.
8. Tristan Thompson: If we needed a PF I'd have him ranked higher. Very young, and very raw. Not Whiteside raw though.
9. Tobias Harris: I think this kid is going to be better than where he's drafted.

If I had to guess, I think the Kings rumors concerning Burks, is probably smoke screen. Your not going to convince me that he's the BPA. He can't shoot, and even Walker, whose not a good 3 pt shooter, is a much better shooter than Burks. He may end up being better than some drafted ahead of him, but right now, he's not the BPA. I think it will come down to Fredette and Walker, with an outside chance that Leonard might be there. If its between Fredette and Walker, I have no clue who they might take. There's also the possibility that an international player may fall that Petrie really likes. So who knows.

By the way, its was tweeted that Biyombo has some sort of back problem. Rumors are that if he's not drafted at 8 or 9, he could fall all the way down to the bottom of the first round.

I'd be extremely happy with...
Enes Kanter
Brandon Knight

I'd be satisfied/would understand the pick with ..
Jan Vesely
Jonas Valaciunas
Kawhi Leonard

Slightly dissapointed because I dont think we need a guard (Unless its VIA trade because the player we acquire is just too talented to pass up (Tony Parker) or has to much potential to pass in the draft (Brandon Knight) ..
Jimmer Fredette
Kemba Walker

Players I like who would satisfy me, but some may consider a reach ..
Jordan Hamilton
Alec Burks
Chris Singleton

Early Second Round Guys I'd be jumping up and down for if they dropped ...

Tyler Honeycutt
Nikola Mirotic
Josh Selby
Nikola Vucevic
Chandler Parsons
Reggie Jackson

I think Kings are due again for another mock-draft-only lottery kid that will fall to the 2nd round. We could have gotten Blair 2 yrs ago had we not traded, then last year Whiteside fell to our lap. This year I think Biyombo/Vucevic will fall hard to our 35th pick.

Unlike the previous drafts, Petrie did not had a second look on any of the players that we had a workout. So probably we're trading our #7 pick. A trade nobody expected.

Kings will trade #7 and Beno for Bobcat's #9 and Stephan Jackson. Bobcats return to full rebuilding mode and drafts Valanciunas and Kings get Fredetter at #9.

I am hoping Mirotic slides to the 2nd round and we pick him. Let him stay in europe for 2-3 years when his contract expires and bring him in to top off an already contending team.

He is a lottery talent but his long contract will put teams off.

Apparently Houston are offering cash for an early 2nd round pick. I'd hate for it to happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if we sold #35. Seems like something GP/Maloofs would happily do.
