I watched an all but forgotten Arnold Shwartzeneggar classic called "Total Recall". AWESOME movie.

Alien Apocolypse, My Name is Bruce, and The Ugly Truth. Enjoyed every single one of them.
That is probably his best film, though I'm also partial to The Running Man.
Hard to say, but the original Conan movie and first couple Terminator flicks are tops for me, I think. Predator is pretty good, too.
I like those movies, particularly Predator but none had the depth of Total Recall. The question of whether or not any of it happened is worth revisiting on each viewing. I guess because I was 16 or 17 when I first saw it I always have taken the "it happened" viewpoint but repeat viewings make me at least see the other side.

Trying to decide between this and District 9 next. I really only watched Taken last night because it was really late and it had a pretty short run time.

I've seen Avatar in 3D. Special effects and 3D glasses and that worth it, but it's a very predictable story. Dancing with wolves mixed up with Starcraft-like sci-fi stuff.
The bad guy was very badass, it was almost a evil Nick Fury. End battle is awesome.

Well... I wound up watching G-Force last night since wifey wanted to watch something not kid-friendly upstairs. I guess the live-action/CG animal blend was a bit too non-animated for TJ to have any desire to pay any attention to so he just ran around my theater bringing me other dvds and blu-rays. I guess this would be good for the 4-10 crowd, not really much for adults here.
How long has it been since you gave your sub a nice workout? If it's due, District 9 will hit the spot.
Its been a few weeks though I think it is running hot since even subtle bass will occasionally shake my walls. I was told that the LFE outputs on my blu-ray player are -10db so I compensated for that but even at +5 it is out of control. I may try it at neutral before I watch District 9. Hopefully tonight.
Ok watched District 9. Liked it, but will need to rewatch as I was a bit groggy. Awful commute home tonight in the snow. 4 hours + 
Anyhow, I stayed pretty spoiler free and though I thought I knew the premise it was a lot different than I was expecting. Way better looking too. I did bump my bass down and it still got heavy at the end but not enough to kick you in the gut. I may have to alternate between this for every day watching and my old setting for guy's nights.

District 9 was pretty cool.
Just tried to watch 500 days of Summer. Twice.
Aside from the Hall & Oates dance scene: (which gets 5 stars)

The rest of the movie sucked. Hated it. I found it infuriating. Waste of time. The actors were completely wrong, the story was not interesting, I got up and walked out of the room for minutes at a time (the movie could not keep my attention), and when I came back I found that I had really lost nothing by missing such a large chunk. 1.5 stars. Maybe it was just not my type of movie.

Watched Inglourious Basterds. Loved it.
It was different from what I expected, too. I walked out a bit underwhelmed, but it sort of grew on me over the next couple of days. I liked District 9 a lot, but I think the transitions between false documentary and action-movie aren't very well resolved, the movie is quite strange. If they were, it would be a masterpiece instead of being only a good movie.
For some reason I was expecting it to be half and half without jumping between.
However I didn't have a problem with that aspect as I am a fan of non-conventional storytelling.

I liked the idea, I also like rare narrativas, but I think it wasn't polished enough. It's a very good film, but it could have been a lot better I think

The title might make it sound like a lifetime original, but this instant classic is most definitely not.
The story is great and Nicolas Cage's performance is easily one of the best of 2009. Wow. Definitely a must see.
