Alright so we obviously get no bench help. In years past we had, bobby jackson backing up bibby and either vlade, brad or webber coming off the bench. We had Songaila as a solid bench scorer. That's 3 pieces we miss badly this year.

Rahim isn't as good as webber and is a bit undersized but he's decent. I wish we had a taller, defensive pf, who could score about 14ppg personally.

So imo we need a backup pg guy who can score. And at least one more bench guy who can score(not sure what position, may not matter).
We will also need a decent backup center who is at least 7'0 and can play a little d and put in 10ppg.

So, at pg, i've no idea who we could grab in the nba that would work.
Maybe someone from europe if we could grab a good player and they'd be willing to part with em.

I would try to get arvydaas macijauskas asap since he isn't happy in Okc.
He's a really good shooter and about 6'5. A sg not a pg.
He would do well in our offense. He is burried in okc.

Next I'd try to grab someone like araujo, kasoun, or lampe. They can score if givin the minutes. Good as backups at least.

I have ideas for a great defensive center/power forward but vujcic plays for maccabi and javtokas plays for lietuvos rytas. Don't think we could pry them away.

If you have better ideas, by all means let's hear them. I've yet to hear a decent solution to the kings woes.

I'm sorry I just have to say, "Vote for Pedro"

Those of you who have not seen Napolean Dynamite will not get it.

That phrase is on every other hat and t-shirt in America...I think everyone gets it by now.

Kings lack a superstar. Current roster is made up of support personnel. No game changers.

Kings needs that more than anything else.

I think we should trade Brad instead of Sar, brad is the weaker defender and sar is our best post player (that is why we got him) and off player too. Get a def minded center and we need a super star player too.

For me my number one priority would be a shot blocker (with apologies to VF21, yes, Skinner can block shots but doesn't have the offense to get off of RA's bench) that can rebound and play defense either at the 4 or 5 and not be an offensive liability. In most of the games we play we score enough to win but give up too many cheap baskets at the rim. To me it all starts there, then work your way down the list of other deficiencies to get better but in the meantime with the addition of one player we can be in the playoffs again and once we solve some of the other problems we'll go deeper into the playoffs.

Yeah I really like rahim it's just that his defense isn't that great. If he had skinners defense i'd have no complaints. With webber we had both defense and scoring so it's a tough comparison for rahim. We could aleviate this with one good 2nd string defensive player that can score 12-13 ppg at the pf or center spot. I think it's important that whoever this person is, they're tall. at least 6'10-7'0. We lack height this year and imo made a mistake picking schensher, who is now in the nbdl.
We will definitly need some bench strength.

When you think about it. we got 3 guys who were riding the bench in philly, kenny, corlis and skinner. Maybe philly was right afterall? It's been true so far.

Yea but the said thing is that he and wells have been our best defenders so far this season. But don't forget he did do a good job on Duncan and KG every time we played them.

Shareef better than skinner on d? I disagree. He did well on kg but duncan still had his way for the most part. Shareef needs to take over the team and get that webber attitude. But like a lot of people say, that's not who the guy is. So it's a little like yao. He can look pretty and make his shots but he's not a beast like we need. Anyway I don't see petrie really tuning into what needs to be done so it will probably be next year that we make any significant changes. Petrie or adleman being fired will probably be one of them. Rightly so.

So far this year, yes he has.

Skinner is a better defender, but he hasn't had the chance to prove it.

First, Duncan got rolling against our backups and Brad Miller ... while Reef rode the pine.

Second, after all was said and done - Duncan shot under 50%... if you told me that Duncan would shoot 10-24 before the game, I'd take it.

Of course, Duncan pretty much owned the previous time we played them.

Shareef needs to take over the team and get that webber attitude. But like a lot of people say, that's not who the guy is.

Unfortunately, that's true.

If Reef had once ounce of KG attitude, I believe Reef would be a top 5 PF in the league. He's easily one of the best offensive PFs ... but he just doesn't have THAT attitude that says "get out of my way". He's more blue collar.

I think EVERY team in the United States is looking for this player ....

If you get a guy that can block shots, rebound, play defense at more than one position and be a boon on offense ... you've pretty much nailed an all-star.

At this point, what we can legitimately get, in my opinion, is a guy that is deficient in one or more areas. For me ... a guy that is going to play 110% defense and -10% offense is perfect.

This team has weapons... the problem is that they are overloaded with weapons. If we can get a defensive-minded center that doesn't need shots on offense to be productive ... then we've found our man.

so far yes he has what? let guys get layups on him via his lack of help D with bibby? i agree.

>Skinner is a better defender, but he hasn't had the chance to prove it.

skinner is a better defender and that is adlemans choice. however skinner can't score to save his life.

>First, Duncan got rolling against our backups and Brad Miller ... while Reef rode the pine.

duncan had his way with reef for various points in the game and eventually won out. reef had a few stops though. probably his best defensive game other than the min. game. that still dosen't make up for the 1st month of the year.

50% isn't that bad. 40% is. duncan was fouled a lot.

where he made shareef his beyotch, yes.

if wishes were horses, beggers would ride.

Watching the Cavs/Bulls game, I'd say the Kings lack LeBron James and they need Ben Gordon (just scored 12 points in 4 minutes)
