What should we do with Brad Miller?...

What do you guys think the Kings should do with Brad Miller?..


...IMO, With Brads confidence problem I think it would be great if he came off the bench for us, to take a little pressure off of him. What do you guys think?...

I think it's too soon to know. This team is still a work in progress, and we don't know which Brad Miller is going to return from injury -- a rejuvinated Brad Miller or Spurs-playoffs Brad Miller. He didn't look very good in the early part of the season, but he was also simply misisng shots that normally go in. The only way to see how he mixes with the new approach and with the current players is by getting him back on the floor. And no team is going to trade for him until they know he's healthy.

I think he'll be the starter when he comes back. Shareef has been good, but he's not a center.

PS: If the Kings do decide to trade him though, here are some ideas:

To the Hornets for Tyson Chandler
To the Celtics for Theo Ratliff (expiring after next season) and Al Jefferson
To the Pistons for McDyess'/Davis' enders and Amir Johnson
To the Pacers for Foster/Marquis Daniels (to give the Kings a crazy-versatile bench)

Shareef's not a center. He can play it maybe 5-10 mins a game without getting killed but our D was better with Brad even though his movement was bad cuz the foot and he was missing shots cuz the foot. Kenny's been the problem IMO. When he's given us something we've usually won, when he's sucked and played like usually it's been a lot harder for us to win.

Interesting ideas, #2 especially. Although it would be very interesting doubt the Hornets would do #1 frankly -- Chandler keys their defense and boardwork. #2 is nicely constructed, and if you believe in Jefferson is the sort of thing where everybody gets what they are looking for. #3 is kind of scary just as the talent bleed continues -- either need Amir Johnson to become somethng, or a couple more random ending bigs (actually hoopshype claims McDyess has a player option) to eventually net us a good free agent. There's a theory there, and could work out, but its a threat to add Miller to the tally of guys for whom we haven't got much of anything back. Do not like #4, although if Daniels emerged as a top backup point it gets better. Still, major player for bench rotation is shaky.

Brad is injury prone. His game will continue to deteriorate as he ages. I think we should bring him off the bench but find a replacement for him during next offseason

Yeah, I agree that the Chandler thing isn't too likely unless New Orleans starts tanking for some reason. He's fitting in pretty well with their lineup.

Brad would fit in pretty well with Detroit -- he'd be alongside Rasheed which should help defensively and he'd be a good passer to Billups and Rip. It's tough to constrct a trade that works though. I'd love to have Maxiell -- he's technically undersized at 6'7", but he doesn't have a neck so he plays bigger. I think it was Jerry Krauss who wanted to measure players at the shoulder because he thought the neck and head was "wasted height". It's the Elton Brand effect. I don't know if Detroit would give him up, though, and it's tough to constrct a trade invovling him that doesn't leave Detroit without a power forward. Plus Detroit needs their enders to re-sign Billups. So all in all probably unlikely.

That leaves Boston and Indiana. Indiana is tough to work out because other than Foster there's no one on the roster that I particulalry like that Indiana would be willing to give up. Jasikevicius? Maybe they'll sour on Al Harrington? Probably not likely.

Geoff has shown a seriously uncanny ability to trade a player just before they self-destruct, I have confidence he'll figure out the right time to deal Miller.

I hope Brad come back soon, but obviosly not before he's ready.

Im sure his offensive contribution and efficiency will pick up to a satisfactory level once he's healthy.
