6'3"!
Doubt Bonzi goes to the Pistons - MLE, bencher role, Pistons could not be as good as in the past.
agreed, but doesn't anyone else get the feeling that he is insurance in case bonzi does leave?? "i feel like i'm taking crazy pills!!!" (-jacobin mogatu)
if the idea is to have douby be a back-up point, and bonzi does leave, we've just got another hole at the back-up 2. it's harder for me to see him as the 4th PG than as martin's back-up in case Bonzi walks.
Er...?
Can only assume we intend Douby to eb THE backup PG. Hart sucks, and Price hasn't proven anything. Of course whetehr Douby is more than just another Juan dixon has to be seen as well, but I'm assuming he comes in as the most decorated of the bunch and gets top crack at it.
As for OG, if Bonzi leaves then its Martin/Garcia/Douby. Too young for us to matter, but sufficient depth.
The two really don't have to be related.
I agree completely....it should be the third option on the poll....wait a second!!! - did I just agree with Bricklayer???
how was hart able to be sufficient over in charlotte (enough so that petrie traded our 2nd round pick this year) but flounder with us last year? a part of me feels that adelman's system and the way he distributes minutes had a part in it.
maybe musselman will get hart into a flow, since he is a somewhat adequate defensive guard. i'm not sure if douby immediately gets the top spot. he is, after all, a rookie and unproven.
I don't think the Douby pick has anything to do with Bonzi. But I'd be very surprised if Bonzi comes back. I think this is going to be Cuttino redux. Petrie will try and use him to get Nene or another big, and failing that Bonzi will sign with another team willing to overpay him. Kings will use the MLE and LLE and stay under the tax level. I seriously don't believe the Maloofs want to pay the luxury tax. I hope I'm wrong.
I hope Petrie does move Bonzi for Nene, b/c I doubt I'll see KG in a Kings uni.
Bonzi might not have too many choices in the FA market unless he's willing to take the MLE. Charlotte, NO, Chicago, and Atlanta are the only teams w/ significant cap space. And of those only the Bobcats and Hornets need a SG, but they may not want to commit a ton of cash on a older player w/ a history.
Toronto also has cap space. Of those, you can rule out Atlanta, because they're stocked at 2/3, and Charlotte, they're on a youth movement. I'd worry about New Orleans, Toronto and Chicago. All three have holes at the 2 and could use some veteran leadership. If they think Bonzi could provide that, adios Bonzi.
