What happened?

Dime Dropper

All-Star
What happened this site? I couldn't get onto it the last couple days, and it looks like it was the same for the rest of you, going by the lack of new posts. No PBP for the Knicks game, but seeing the result I'm actually kinda glad I couldn't see the PBP. Glad it's back to normal.

Dunno what happened, but I took a gamble and emailed the ISP for the server hoping they could take a look even though we're not Jeremy. :)

Looks like they fixed whatever was wrong.

It was down for a little more than 24 hours.

At this point, I'm glad it was ... at least last night. I cannot even begin to imagine some of the comments that would have been made.

Ain't that the truth .... the "wait 24 hrs" before responding works wonders in many-many ways !!!

Blast! I wanted to see some bitching and moaning. Why else would anyone come here? It's 90% of the content. Else we'd increase the SVI (societal violence index) and road rage in particular would hamper my day. A message board is the proper outlet for murderous anger.

Was that sarcasm? I don't even know myself anymore...

( stares at fuse and nearby box of matches )

So... we lost to the Knicks...

Yeah, the 24 hour wait certainly worked wonders.

But really, that doesn't change the fact that this team flat out sucks right now.

When I couldn't log onto Kingsfans.com to find out how they managed to lose by double digits to the Knicks, I assumed the worst...

...I guess we'll need 75 more "player's only" meetings to avert any more catastrophies.

Onw thing is for sure we need a backup site if one goes down. I was getting serious withdraws I was hitting the refresh button atleast 20 times yesterday hoping to see if the website was back on.

Remember, we do have CHAT at mIRC. The server is irc.bludgeon.org and the channel is #Kingsfans.

In case of emergency, try there...

:D

Thanks VF for the other site - I consider this site down an extreme emergency - and was only surprized I didn't get 911 calls on it! It was a long horrid, graveyard shift with no "Kingsfans.com"!
:D

i'm so glad the site is back.

last night was basically me shouting 4 letter words at my computer at the score, as well as saying "embarassing" more then once ;)

I missed everyone. I am seriously addicted to you all. Glad to see you all again. :)

I tried irc.bludgeon.org and it gave me a temp site that I don't think is correct. Is there a trick to this? Thanks VF
