First Impression: What the hell was GP thinking....

Second Impression (after watching an hour of ESPN): If this can make Peja the number one guy like last year and we can play like we did without webber last year then ill be happy, plus we have mobley who we didnt have last year and 3 other players to benefit our bench. Therefore after thinking about it, this may and COULD be one of the best decisions made by GP, that is if Peja can step it up and take controll of this team.

This might be the best thing that has happened to the Kings. Maybe our new guys are going to play some good D while everyone else scores.

I don't know. I'm in pain right now :(

I'm in the VERY small minority who thinks this is a good trade. Has anyone wathced Webber run?? The guy is a medical marvel so I don't want to contradict myself. But, I think this is the best he is going to be. Based on similar athletes with similar injuries he could be done at any time. Also, he RARELY practices which can't be good for the team. His post defense is bad, his post offense has deteriotated largely because he simply does not have lift.

Also, watching this team play they do not look like a championship team. Is all that Webb's fault?--NO. I just think the team needed to go in a different direction. It's MUCH easier to trade Thomas or Williamson than Webber. I think Petrie now has flexibility in the offseason and will hope for the best for the reamining season.

I still trust Petrie and the organization. I liked Webber as a Kings and I hope he plays well for the Sixers.

I'm still shocked how quickly people turned on Petrie. Even If I can't understand why RIGHT NOW, you can't bet against the guy in the long run.

I wonder if it is a sign of the Maloofs cashing-in on Sacramento. It is a pretty bold move, and I assume will wipe out the team. I am just not smart enough to figure this out. Motives, finances, and team success.

This figures. I finally learned to appreciate Webber, now he's gone.

Its hard for me to totally digest this right now. I mean, we went from being pretty thin at the 3 to a bottle neck...and from being strong at the 4 to being pretty thin. Hopefully these guys will play some D & Peja will come back to life. I really would have liked some youth like Dalembert. Also, its really a shame that Barnes got dealt...I mean, he was a local kid who really liked playing for the Kings....I guess the NBA really is a business.....

Could go either way. GP can end up being either an idiot or a genius.

For this season - over or not (yet to be seen) - our chances have not been good anyway but they appear to be even less now.

Thing that I dislike is that it looked very desperate on our part - "take what You can get/ cut Your losses" kind a deal. I hate "last minute stuff" anyways.

Honestly, it was clear that there was no way we can get anything remotely near to the value that Webber has as a player. Any trade would have looked bad.

GP has made many decisions and most of them were positive for the Kings. Some of them we liked and some of them we did not. He deserves a chance.

Finally, we are "just" fans that put our emotions in this cruel bussines and we get "hurt" If you are not ready for that - do not be a fan

I don't understand why everyone is so upset. Corliss is a bigtime rebounder, Thomas is a big time hustler and Webber is slow. Webbers overall movement on defense and offense has slowed down tremendously in the last couple of years do to his injuries and I think we got a good deal. Think of it this way- Peja will shine off of this I'm sure, and now we have two hustlers who love to bang the boards. I expect in 20 games that our opponents ppg will drop 3-5ppg. Trust me, just like with the Mobley trade you're all a bit worried but the tides will settle and you'll be juiced ;)

This is a trade that you'll have to wait and see on. For both sides.
Skinner and Thomas could fit in pretty well here, or they could stink.
People seem to think Webber wil vault the Sixers into the Atlantic lead, I think there is a strong possibility that AI+CWebb will = not good fit.

yeah that second impression is there in my mind but i haven't steped over that line yet

i really don't what to think

its too early to tell anything

i mean GP could turn around a trade someoe else tomorrow...::shrugs:: who the frick knows

i can't wait to tell my mom...she;s always liked Chris and i can't to get her impression

I would have rather simply gone down with the ship behind Chris Webber. He made the Sacramento Kings matter - that's all there is to it. I hate Geoff Petrie.

And right there you just singlehandedly destroyed your credibility.

Thanks Brick, you actually made me laugh tonight!!!

This trade sucks. Like someone said, I would have rather gone down with Chris this year and then see what happens.
