I want to see hustle, ALL THE TIME!
I want to see them run more.
I expect to see Hawes and Thompson improve and keep down the stupid fouls that put them on the bench too early.
I expect Evans to become an emerging star, turnovers and all.
I would like the bench to provide more consistancy and toughness.
I would like to see better rebounding and maybe some blocked shots.
I expect 24-30 wins.
I expect I will be going to more games this year, economy willing.

The NBA frowns on gambling but that is exactly what they do when it comes to the draft. Now they played the all star game in Las Vegas. What's next, moving a team there? God I hope not.

First of all, I expect to see good chemistry between the guys. Without that, any success is far away.
I also hope that they could bring Kings madness and passion back to Arco arena. I am sure that fans would recognize that and give full support, even though we're not title contenders anymore.
I expect from Martin, Garcia, Andres Noc and Beno to really step up this year. Martin and Garcia don't have Peja, Bibby, Miller, etc. anymore - this is their team now and they should finally convert their tallent into a real quality.
We can't expect playoffs this season, but I'll enojoy if we'd be surprise of the year, if we'd beat Lakers and other big teams like in the old times.
Finally, I expect us to sign one more solid player if our sallary cap allows that?

I expect Tyreke to win Rookie of the Year. He probably will look ok the first half of the year, but he will good the latter half. I would guess between 25-30 wins. It's going to be a more interesting team. Big swings in performance because it's still so young. There will be a lot more hustle with this team, and it will be much more entertaining than last year. I would expect improvement in Hawes, Thompson, and Greene, and I think Hawes is going to have a very nice year.
I also would expect the "true" vs "untrue" point guard argument will have a ton of posts. Probably after a week, we'll have posts on it, with some saying Tyreke can't pass, isn't "true", and it will never work. That's after about three games.
Westphal will get a lot of flack just because losing coaches always get a lot of flack. This time, however, the coach won't get fired. The Maloofs I think have spent themselves on firing coaches, for at least a couple of years.

Unless Westphal can prove he really is a good coach I expect it all year. If he has some coaching skills they will improve on the 2nd half and maybe get 20 wins.

I don't think many fans will be booing, because quite frankly - this team can't play much worse than it did last year and it WON'T. There are mulitple reasons why, most of which being that our young guys are going to bring excitement and hope.
Will there be growing pains? yeeaah. However, one has to keep proper perspective. The players making mistakes are going to learn from them and get better. This will not be another year of Mikki Moore and John Salmons making the mistakes.
You should feel lucky to have season tickets, I wish I could. You are seeing the beginning stages of the team you love putting it all together.
Maybe in your section, but for the most part, I would expect Kings fans to show more class to a young team with a lot to learn.

I didn't say I would boo, I never have. But I expect many too when they have lots of unforced turnovers and bad shot selection.

* Improved rebounding = more easy put-backs and fast breaks.
* Better coached = less prone to look like headless & clueless chickens.
* Increased toughness = less uncontested layup drills for opponents.
* Intangibles = better team play, more mental & physical toughness, better attitutes, and hopefully more confidence/swagger.
But many are still very young, inexperienced, unproven at the NBA level, and new to each other. So I think a big keys to this season's success are improved leadership (both at the coach and player levels), team chemistry, and the coach's ability to instill team play, consistency, trust in each other, and follow a structured game plan and methodical play-by-play discipline where everyone is on the same page.

we will be better than last season as long as martin is healthy... if he plays at least 75 games will win about 30 games. it depends on if we can keep it close during games against other bad teams. if we can split wins with half of the other bad teams then steal some wins from a few good teams we can win about 30 games without looking too bad and still having an enjoyable season....

We have enough talents now to do twice as better than last year. Some will say it is not enough, but I would say it will never be enough if the Kings won't exert their utmost effort to win it all.
The key now would be hard work and determination to succeed. If one important part of the organization becomes LAZY again, may it be coaching staff/players/FO, then I would say we will be back as cellar-dweller team that we were last year.
I expect all the players not to play LAZY basketball again - and maybe they will win 40 games despite all the odds against them.

I dont expect miracles this year. 25 - 30 wins would be good. I just want to see the young guys get a chemistry playing together. I think they'll be more fun to watch this year. I'm sure Reke willl impress. Brockman and Cassipi will bring some excitement. I would love to see Sean May prove everyone wrong and make a come back in SAC that would be awesome. I really hope the best for the guy. It would be a win win situation. Kings are about heart and desire.

i said that last seasons team couldnt win a game per week and i also said that if martin stays healthy we can win 30 games if we keep the games close.
the 2 quotes were refering to 2 different teams. one was last years and the other was my expectations of this team in an ideal situation where everything goes according to plan. which is sad because under ideal situations i think this team can only win 30 games and i dont think that evans is a pg. so i am just as pessimistic about the team as ever, dont get it twisted. but its still my team. i want them to win as many games as possible but i dont think that they will win that many games. we will still win fewer games than we did with musselman as our coach which is a damn shame.

I think it is a bit early to start making predictions on how many games any team will win this season, so I will look at what I expect the Kings to improve upon (or get worse) this coming season.
First, I expect the Kings to be a better rebounding team this year. Their front court of Hawes, JT and Noc is a better rebounding front court than Miller, Mikki Moore, and Salmons. Adding Tyreke at the Point will also help as he is a very good rebounder. When you look at their depth, they have more rebounders off the bench. The one thing Donte showed he could do consistently last season was rebound. May has proven he can rebound and both Casspi and Brockman (who I think will make the team) are aggressive rebounders. The biggest problem the Kings have had the past couple years is that they too often only have 2 or 3 players trying to rebound while the other leaked down the court. I don't see that happening as much this year.
Second, I believe they will be better defensively. Having Tyreke actually get in front the other team's PG should make a big difference all by itself. Better rebounding also helps. How many times have we watched the Kings play good defense for 24 seconds only to give up an offensive rebound and a put back? I also think having a coaching staff that seems to have a direction for the team will help. Too often last season, the players looked like they had no clue what they were supposed to be doing on defense (or offense for that matter). Even Brad Miller mentioned that he didn't know what his role was much of the time. If the vets don't know the coaches want, then you can bet that the young players don't either. I also think that keeping the starting lineup together, and a regular rotation will help, but we will have to wait and see if that happens.
Third, I expect to see the young players play a lot of minutes and look forward to watching them improve throughout the season. Of course, this means we will have to deal with some of their youthful mistakes and bonehead plays in the process. This is what I am looking forward to the most. Let's see what we actually have with JT and Hawes. Let's see if Donte can develope into a good player and see what position he will most likely play. Let's see what kind of a player we have in Casspi. And Let's see if Tyreke can turn into the player that might help turn this franchise around. That will mean letting them play through their growing pains, but I think it will be worth it.
Fourth, I am looking forward to see what Westphal is going to do with this team on offense. If they just have some sort of a plan on offense, then they should be better than last season. Last year, I couldn't tell you what offense they were playing game to game.
