...from the "Junior Member" club to the "Senior Member" club with my 100th+ post today. Where's my graduation cap 'n gown? Or do I have to undergo some sort of dangerous underground Kings hazing, like streaking at Arco Arena? So now I'm in the three-digit post club. Big deal, right? It's no big deal to me, of course--just a 'lil somth'n that I noticed.
But then I look at the number of posts of others and I see a bunch of 4-digit-club members out there with 1,000+ posts, then the 5-digit-club members with 10,000+ posts with several with over 15,000 posts...then I see one with, gulp, a stupendous 48,000+ posts (done in six years, as I understand it).
48,000+ posts! Holy shiat! Hard to fathom.
This board's got some serious longevity and participation--that speaks volumes of how well that it is managed and appreciated by many. Of course this board is not perfect--nothing is, 'cept for those who are already six feet under and, even then, they are frequently knocked off the Pedestal of Perfection when their dirty laundry gets aired, post-mortem. Even Mother Theresa, fully Sainted 'n all, was absolutely not (she greatly exaggerated her help-the-poor activities, turned her back to many poor people, diverted a lot of money towards herself, lived in the lap of luxury 99% of the time, etc) bona-fide Saint that she's portrayed to be after her post-mortem dirty laundry came out. In short, nobody and no thing is perfect.
