Glad I didn't waste my time watching this game. I did see the Cousins postgame interview. Wow, can we not vote him to NYC so he can get a vacation? He's got the weight of the world on his shoulders right now and no where to turn. Hang in there Boogie, maybe it will get better next season.

My countryman, Casspi, really wasn't his usual self tonight... (0 boards??)
Oh well, I give him a pass for his 1st game back from injury...
Still, tonight I expect much more, Omri! :)

Come on man. We've been in much worst shape with the Malloofs run this place. Why not give the guys that saved this team a chance?

Everybody has their individual choice in this matter. I may leave also. I'm in no hurry and will let them do what they wish but I'm not convinced they are focused on what happens on the floor.

It's really getting frustrating now. The reason to fire Malone, was to finally install some kind of NBA offense, besides handing the ball to DMC.
This didn't happen, leaving us with a still offensively challenged team, relying on it's superstar at all costs, not even getting him into position to score an easy basket most of the time. Furthermore our defensive mindset, which really was the essence of Malone's coaching, faded away.
We are still terrible on offense and worse on defense.
I'm sick of it. At some point we got to realize that we demand too much of DMC. Yes he is a franchise player, but he can't do it all alone and be effective doing it.
Just stop - man up on defense and finally run an offense, that comes close to NBA level for gods sake.
How about hiring an NBA caliber head coach?

The various line-ups looked bad last night. Lots of turnovers led to easy buckets at the other end. The offense did a lot of standing around. Too much dribbles. Lots of contested forced shots as the clock wound down. You can't beat anyone with those flaws in your team. This one was of the worst losses of the year.

Making emotional decisions won't save this team.
We are 5-10 since the coup de etat. 4 of those 5 were against teams in even worse shape than us at the time (lakers, Knicks, twolves, cavs). That's 1 decent win in Corbin's tenure in 15 games, against the thunder. And I'm being generous counting that since okc didn't even put up a fight and Westbrook had one of his worst games ever.

Now, when the new small faction that takes over FAILS, like we are seeing here, what tends to result is civil resistance, or active disobedience from the soldiers (players). In basketball terms, that's players rejecting the new management. Sandbagging games in order to get the new management removed isn't even out of the question.

In layman's terms, what we have is a good old fashioned cluster****.

Doesn't help when your coach is clearly a puppet for the guys who pulled off this assassination.

"I thought we couldn't create pace all night," said Kings coach Tyrone Corbin. "Miami wanted to play at a slow tempo, so we talked about creating pace and pushing the ball down the floor. We ended up falling into a trap and playing at a pace that was favorable to the other team."

PS-the poll is missing a couple options. 3 to be precise. Vivek Ranadive, PDA, and Mullin. Can't leave them off any list of worst kings for any given night. Or is that a given?

This is at least the second time where we upped the tempo and got beat at our own game.

The sad thing is we aren't even really upping the tempo. We just aren't doing anything with purpose, on either end of the floor.

Possibly the dumbest in-season decision in kings history. As much as I hated the webber trade, there was some logic behind it.

Getting to the point where I'm more excited about the NFL draft than I am about the rest of the season....sad.

Of course you get beat, when upping the tempo means throwing stupid, risky passes and basically running around clueless. And this is not solely a question of the right person ell. This is clearly on the coach.
2 possessions where we passed the ball from side to side between DC, McCallumand Stauskas for nearly 15 seconds with no screen getting set or dribble penetration attempted. Both ppossessions ended in contested shots for McCallum. Brilliant Kings Style offense on display there.
And please somebody tell Jt and Evans that Bosh can hit from 3. Somehow our guys didn't watch Bosh for a few years....

No disrespect to anyone, but do we really have a choice? I mean its not like there is another Kings team to watch that did not fire Malone, values WINNING, can recognize actual improvement in a Basketball Team and understands that things take time. Oh and has a Brain Trust with sufficient self image to accept that differing ideas can also be good.

That said, I am sitting here waiting for Mr 4 Moves Ahead to show us all how it is done.

This game was a great illustration of how shallow we are as a team. We have a solid big 3, but after that we pretty much have no talent. You take away any 1 of the big 3 for a game and we are not even competitive - perhaps one of the bottom 3 teams in the league; perhaps the worse.

There is no one outside of the big 3 that has shown any ability to carry this team even once in a great while. There is no coach in the history of the game that could make this a decent team with any of the big 3 out. The roster needs to continue to develop obviously. We need shooter, a better PF and a spark plug off the bench.

All in all though, this team is in a much, much, better place than it was 14 months ago. It is even in a better place than it was at the beginning of the season.

Firing Pete isn't an emotional decision. The team clearly has not improved since he has taken over. With the exception of Cousins and Thompson, the team is comprised of players who he freely went out and acquired. Pete ruined this season. This team may now lose its draft pick, so next year might be a year of futility also.

He wants to assemble a fast-paced team, but has no idea how to assemble one.

My caveat is that I did not watch this game. That said from my view the Kings do not have a Big Three. They have Cousins who is an All Star, Rudy Gay who is Top Ten SF and Collison who is a solid NBA PG. Ben and JT round out a starting five that defends well as a team. There is not much scoring punch off the bench and for that matter when Cousins is out in general. I do agree all three of Cousins, Gay and Collison need to be playing for the Kings to function very well.

Only Cousins can "carry" this team and he does need help.

I agree that the team is better than 14 months ago. As for being in a better place than the start of the season???? Hell man they went 5 and fracking 1!!!
