Welcome Tyler Honeycutt

I actually really like this pickup. Good defender (although needs to add some size) Great passer for his size. If he can improve his shot a bit more, he's the kind of guy you would like next to Reke.

Assuming Honeycutt makes Kings roster, one of Garcia, Casspi or Greene has to go - somewhere. In the meantime, looks like we're stuck with Salmons for awhile

EXCELLENT PICK. This guy easily has top 10 talent in a typical draft. Didn't show itself to make him a high pick this season (maybe the elbow, maybe maturity, mental toughness? - I dunno), but if he gets it together he's better than Greene and Casspi. Has the ability to do everything - shoot outside, drive, rebound, pass, and defend. This is the kind of pick you want to have in the 2nd round - high risk, but very high reward if it pans out. Love this pick. If I were Greene and Casspi I'd be a little concerned about my future in Sacramento.

Honeycutt is Garcia 2.0.

Skinny, decent three point shot, good defense and great shot blocking for their position. Honeycutt happens to have better hops. I'm pretty excited to have him.

Interesting that Draftexpress list Honeycutts best case scenerio as Francisco Garcia. Hey we already got that guy.

2.0

Fredette is Udrih 2.0
Honeycutt is Garcia 2.0
Thomas is Pooh 2.0

I am looking for the site because According to Jon Santiago

Westphal and Petrie said they are not done making moves.

#2

Per Marc Stein's ESPN twitter:
Houston is already trying to move Johnny Flynn

I guess you missed Draftexpress says Jimmers best case is Mike Bibby....damn only if we can also find Webber, Christie, Peja, Vlade, Bjax, Turk, Gerald Wallace....

Mentioned cowbells in the press conference = instant love

Also had to stop himself from saying he was playing for his next contract and wants to sign with the Lakers, so meh.

But Sactown won over Webber, hopefully Tyler will see the light soon and become a force for the Kings and the City of Sacramento.

I seriously have no idea what your talking about.

Welcome Tyler! There were two guys I really liked at the SF position when the Kings turn came in the second round. Parsons and Honeycutt. I liked Honeycutt as the better fit for the Kings, but wouldn't have been disappointed with Parsons. The comparison to Cisco sort of cracks me up. I guess they have a lot of the same skills, but Honeycutt is a much better athlete than Cisco ever dreamed of being. Honeycutt also comes into the NBA already a better defender than Cisco was coming out of college. I also think that he's a better passer than Cisco, who was never known for his passing creativity. I guess they have to compare him to someone. I think the Prince comparison is closer. Whether he'll be that good is another question.
