Welcome! New members, sign in please...

Hey guys, I've been lurking around KF.com for a few months now and I've rally enjoyed it. I'm Gerard, from the Philippines, and I've been a Kings fan since 2002. I'm a 21 year old college student with a major in communications and a minor in computer science.

My birthday is on December 19th, and Tyreke Evans' gift to me was a game winning lay-up against Brandon Jennings and the bucks. :)

I'll be rooting for the kings as long as I live. Go King!

Hi! User Name Aurora. I just registered on your forum. I moved to Sacramento in June 2008 by looking at a map of the United States, putting pins in every city that had an NBA team and then considering the weather and the proximity to my family. It came down to Orlando, San Francisco and Sacramento. So...the NBA is a HUGE priority in my life. I've been a Pistons fan for five years and a very active member of their forum and so I decided after going to five games at the Arco Arena that it was time to try to find a forum to support my new home team.

About my new home team. I like it. And just for the record, I read in the Phoenix game thread people talking about alot of booing. I was at the game in the lower bowl and I didn't hear booing. The fans I've seen at every game have been INCREDIBLY patient with this team IMO. They were still cheering heartily when we were 30 points behind the Suns. So...I dunno. I think when you are a diehard fan of a team sometimes you lose the perspective that a more casual fan still has. I'm a casual fan of this team. I think they have some nice pieces. I enjoy watching them struggle to put the pieces together. Truthfully though, sometimes they bore me. Except for Tyreke. They sure are relief from the season the Pistons are having though!:D

In general I'm not a super partisan fan. Every year I choose six teams to follow, I get League Pass, I run two fantasy teams and I try to watch as much of the League as I can. There are teams I love to hate: San Antonio and Miami and LeBron (it's a Pistons thing!). This year I'm following: Phoenix Suns, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz, Pistons, Philadelphia (Iverson must see...always...), Golden State, and my new home team Sacramento.

I've been to see Sacramento play Memphis, Philadelphia, Denver, Golden State, and Phoenix so far. I think it's a pretty great fan base. People have been very friendly considering I'm usually rooting for both teams in some complicated way that involves also singling out extra cheers for players on my fantasy teams. Last game I had Tyreke on both fantasy teams and Amare on one of them and Robin Lopez on the other. It was a little confusing to the older man next to me that had a hat with opening night Kings pins from 20 years of seasons! But we talked it out and then he was just fine!

Well, long introduction. But my sister said "Hon, you're in Sacramento now. You've got to make the jump off that Detroit forum and get to know someone who is into the Kings for crying out loud!"

I've enjoyed what I've read so far, especially the heated debate about the lineups, the starters vs the bench. Very interesting and will help my viewing when I go to see the Celtics game coming up Feb. 16.

Hello All,

Been a reader of his forum for a little over a year now. I finally decided to register here. I talk Kings basketball over in the 49erswebzone forum but found this site as I was looking for something just dedicated to the Kings.

I've been a Kings fan since the very early 90's when i just started to get into basketball because at the time they were my home team. Football(49ers) and Baseball(Giants) were the sports my dad brought me up with as basketball was an afterthought in my house. Became a fan after my parents got me a Kings hat for Easter.

My favorite player growing up was Tyus Edney. I've always been partial to the shorter guys as I'm not really tall myself. I've met him a few times and he's probably one of the nicest sports athletes I've met. Hooked me up with some free Kings tickets for my birthday.

It's been crazy watching all the highs and lows of this franchise and I'm hoping we can go back to being one of the elite teams in the league. Tyreke Evans has given me hope for the future and hopefully we can build something special around him and finally bring an NBA championship to Sacramento.

I was stationed in Italy(Navy) when the Kings were on top and hope moving back to Europe(Germany) in a month or two will be good luck again.

Hi all,
Im a long time reader of these forums and decided to finally join up :).
Im from Gisborne New Zealand, any other kiwis on here? This site has been great for keeping up to date with the kings being so far away and all. Kings on NZ tv next week cant wait. :D

Hello, I moved here from NBA Fanvoice due to the terrible quality of posters there. Very few people there could talk (or type) basketball. Al there was was Kobe>Lebron, Lebron>Kobe, and Wade>Kobe arguments. I've been reading articles on the site for a couple of weeks now and decided to join.

Go Kings!

Welcome. I think you'll find we have some of the most knowledgeable fans around...and we've got a nice variety of folks who focus on different aspects of the game. There are some who watch every movement on the college front to alert us to future draft hopefuls. We've got statisticians who can dazzle you with their ability to quote stats like some people quote their phone numbers. We have contract specialists who can pinpoint sections of the current CBA you never knew existed. And we've got homer fans who just love the team and everything about it.

All in all, something for everybody...and we've got a group of core members better than any other board around, IMHO.

GO KINGS!!!

Welcome to all newcomers. The more the merrier. We can be like a dysfunctional family at times, but this is a pretty comfortable place to be. We have some great moderators and some people here really know there basketball stuff. I'm more of a I may not know a lot, but I know what I love and its the Kings! Of course I live in the area.

Welcome to the kiwi! I have a little soft spot in my heart for NZ, as my grandparents lived in Auckland for about five years ( a very long time ago) and they loved it there. People were wonderful to them. Quite a few of my family members have visited, including my brother and sister-in-law for three weeks. I hope I can visit some day. :)
