Welcome Maxime Raynaud

Totally agree with this sentiment, and is an example of someone I would want my kids to emulate; however, I think the question is whether he has enough of a nasty streak in him, or if he'll get pushed around in the NBA. I preface, I know nothing about college basketball anymore, but physicality seemed to be the knock against him in college. Will be very interesting to see how he competes in summer league.

Potentially, but this is a guy who averaged over 10 rebounds last season and 9.4 the year before. 18.1% TRB as a college player. That would be 13th in the NBA last season. For reference, Domas as the best rebounder in basketball was at 22.2% TRB last year. And he's a guy that primarily plays around the perimeter on O

I dont think this is a soft kid at all. I'd be a lot more worried if he were a 5 REB guy

I saw somewhere reddit/bluesky(?) that he was asked not to go for blocks or do too much on defense at Stanford to stay out of foul trouble. Maybe he gets into the NBA and is given a different assignment and runs with it.

He has said so himself in several interviews. He was given more of a green light is the last 10 games of the season or so and his shotblocking skyrocketed.

This guy’s the only summer league guy I remotely want to watch tomorrow.
Really? I got my eyes on a ton of dudes

Carter and nique and what the ball handling distribution looks like
Raynaud and Cardwell and can Raynaud play with another big?
How have IJones and Icraw developed?
What's our new two-way PG, Isaiah Steven's look like?

Certainly our most fun summer league team on awhile

I'm excited for several players, especially Nique and Carter, but I get it.

I'm definitely wondering how Raynaud dropped to us given his size and skill set haha

Really enjoyed that interview, good head on his shoulders and seems to have a good outlook on what needs to be done
