Bummer, Max is not playing today. I love watching him, offensively, no question about him, defensively, all the efforts are there from Max.

Scott Perry says the things Max pleasantly surprised them all in the summer league thus far are:

• When Max switches on smaller offensive players, he does a fairly good job of trying to keep them in front, and
• The biggest thing is that he does something that a lot of veterans don’t do right now is his voice on the floor defensively. It has been unbelievable. When you have a big on the back line that can quarterback your defense and let everyone know where the screens are coming and cutting actions are happening, that is a big advantage for defense, which enhances your ability to be a good defensive team.

All of a sudden, we might have a glue guy and a floor general.

Honestly could see him starting mid season next to sabonis with Keegan at 3. DDR needs to be coming off the bench by then or hopefully moved out all together.
